A Great EDC Choice

First things first. The WE Ziffius is my all time favorite knife, and the Twin Grails of my collection are a pair of them in 20CV satin (165/310) and Hakkapella Damasteel (91/150), both with the black titanium/anodized lightning handle. I mean wow what a masterpiece of a knife. So when I saw that Civivi was releasing the budget friendly EDC Sentinel Strike based on the Ziffius design but for a 70% lower price, I just had to check it out. I loved the idea of being able to EDC the Ziffius in budget form and the Sentinel Strike doesn't disappoint whatsoever. It's incredibly light and slender for a sizey-er bladed knife, and the reverse tanto shaped wharncliff blade is really nice. The handle is exceptionally comfortable too, and overall fit and finish is exactly what you'd expect from Civivi, it's great. The button lock, thumb studs and holes and flipper tab all work like butter and just like on the Ziffius, the flipper tab feels perfect when deploying pushing straight down button style. If you're looking for a feather light but tough as nails EDC with a larger blade that's based on a Best In Show design that's a significant cut above the standard $40 to $50 daily beater we all carry, the Sentinel Strike is a really great choice. I'm definitely going to carry and use this one alot.

Aggressive looking, but very practical

The tactical-looking blade profile and kind of futuristic style of this knife makes it easy to overlook just how good a utility knife it is. It's lightweight for the size, and the blade is sturdy but very slicey, with a useful point. Great for opening packages, breaking down boxes, and other chores. The finger choil is large enough for larger fingers than mine or gloved hands to choke up for closer work. A lot of ambidextrous opening options with that nice CIVIVI button lock, flipper tab, blade cut out, and thumb stud. It's good enough for the job without being so pricey you're not willing to let it get beat up a bit. Would I like better steel than K110? Sure. But at a fraction of the price of a Ziffius, it's a great knife!

EDC sleeper

I am loving my new Civivi Sentinel Strike. Beautiful design. So surprisingly light for a knife that fills the hand so well. Amazing fit and finish, subtle finishing touches and silky smoth action are an almost given from Civivi knives to me. All this being said, so much to enjoy, all this in a sub-$100 knife...Bravo We/ Civivi!
