Purchased this a week ago from Knife Center and I am extremely impressed with the build quality for this price. I have quite a few knives in my collection that cost me a whole lot more but, this has become a favorite. Love the flickability of the superlock as well as how strong a lock it is. The Damascus is beautiful with the Ivory G10 scales and it comes very sharp. If your thinking about getting one, take the plunge. You won't be dissapointed.

Quality Damascus, great hand feel & the amazing Sneks lock... what's not to like. Better than the WE Knife version IMO & cheaper to boot. Beautiful to look at too. Worth the wait if not in stock when you want one. You will not be sorry for waiting for the Damascus version. Whip this out to start a conversation. It's utilitarian but not imposing. Blows my Mind
This is my 3rd Civivi and the best. I like a larger knife, not to totally knock my 1st Civivi an Elimentum 3 years ago I like a larger knife with a 3.5 blade because of my large hands. I'm retired so q knife like 5hus was a sludge. The surprise though was the Knife Roll that came with it. I didn't realize that was a perk of my Blake Friday purchase.

The Vision FG is the Best Civivi Knife To Date!
I just received the Vision FG (damascus version) yesterday and it is officially my favorite knife in my collection. I have a Demko AD20.5 and the action on the Vision FG is just as good. The Superlock on the Vision FG is a little more pronounced than the Shark lock so it's easier to engage or to disengage the blade. It came sharp out of the box but, I have no intention to use this Damascus version as a beater or EDC. That's reserved for one of the other Nitro-V versions. This knife will serve out the rest of its life as a fancy fidget knife. I wish there were more info about the material used in the blade but, DCA's video did mention there's a 10CR series stainless core. Overall, I really can't complain, it is a very very good Damascus + Superlocking knife at this price point. If this knife was released at the time of my AD20.5 purchase, I would have purchased the Vision FG instead.

Wife decided it was hers
Knife center had my order out the day after drop, and it got here a couple days later. BladeHQ is still sitting on one of the knives I ordered from the same drop day... knifecenter will be my default for pre-orders going forward (actually canceled my existing pre-orders with BHQ to order on KC instead). Beautiful knife. Smooth action. My wife saw it, and just started carrying it... first knife she's ever shown a genuine interest in. Should've gotten two. Probably will get the micarta one for edc. Pocket clip is a hotspot, for sure. I got some of the civivi entropic ano clips off Amazon -- the short one looks good with the knife, and is way more comfortable. If you want to get someone into knives, give them one of these -- or just have it as part of the collection.

It’s a bargain
First of all, a little about myself. I’ve been collecting custom knives for over 50 years… I currently have about 250 but I never use customs for my EDC. They’re too valuable and many can’t be replaced. So my other 4 EDC are well made factory made knives, in the $300 to $400 range. Someone showed me this Civivi at a knife show and I was blown away when I found out the price. Ordered one and I love it. Looks great, easy to operate, clip works great, great blade shape, well made, unique, and it’s a bargain.

I would love this Damascus and vision style as a fixed 5-7” kitchen knife. This blade and handle shape is wonderful to work with and pretty to look at. The lock on this is fun to play with, very snappy.

Has Become My Grail but a user not a looker
This is my new Favorite knife. I have had 5 Civivis. This is my 2nd Damascus Civivi blade but this is much more distinct than my Button Lock Elementum. The only thing I disliked was the clip. I remedied that with an after market milled clip. I must say I developed a little callus on my left forefinger, fidgeting with the lock mechanism constantly. Easy to do when you're retired. If I could afford it, I would get another FG with the black blade. Surprisingly, the Vision FG was cheaper than my Button Lock Elementum. I don't own the Vision R but I think this "budget" version is the better of the two.

Beautiful knife, great quality, just not for me.
The quality and aesthetics of this knife are top notch but I think I've become spoiled with all of the advances in handle ergonomics. This knife is a little bigger than I usually carry so that might have something to do with it. (Blue state issues) I absolutely love the blade and the Superlock mechanism but the handle just doesn't do it for me. It's a bit blocky and just doesn't feel comfortable to me. Buy one and give a try - maybe it's just me!
