Pros: Handle Feel
Cons: None
Retro tactical, baby!
This is a full-size, full-strength "real" "actual" tactical in the vein of the old Benchmades, Spydercos and Emersons of the 90s and early 2000s. Two slabs of G10 over skeletonized liners and a tough blade. Only in this case, the slabs of G10 aren't flat. They're checkered and have a dome profile to them making them totally comfortable. Also, the blade is a little thicker than we used to get and WAAAAY thicker than we usually get from Civivi. I criticize Civivi for never purchasing any blade stock thicker than 1/8", but this is the exception, for their folders anyway. This is made to fit large hands, so it'll feel a little big for everybody else. Only 4 stars because the tip is very fine, but if you're used to those "pointy" Spydercos, this is just like that. Reverse-flicks very well. The liner lock appears thin, but I actually think it only looks that way compared to the size of the knife and it's actually the same thickness as Emerson liners. This is most definitely a do-it-all, if-you-can-have-only-one-knife knife. Oh, and if it matters to you, it's frighteningly sharp out of the box.
