Pros: Blade Material, Blade Sharpness, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Handle Material, Weight
Cons: Lock Ease of Use, Lock Type
Big beautiful knife with painful and stiff liner lock
This is my 32nd Civivi knife I've purchased (not including my Sencuts or W's) and I was taken by Placoid's Shredded Blue G10 handles and the big beefy blade, which reminds me of the Civivi Praxis (which I also own). While I love the sharpness of the blade, the blade shape, the heft of the blade and the color and the texture and color of the scales, I severely dislike the liner lock, which is actually painful to use. The liner lock has sharp barbs on the end and is quite stiff, making it hard and painful to unlock the blade using the liner lock. I've never had this issue with any Civivi or Sencut knife I've ever purchased that have liner locks. No other Civivi or Sencut I own has sharp barbs at the edge of the liner lock mechanism.. I am only keeping this knife because the pros outweigh the cons but there is a huge con with the terrible linier lock. I have no idea what Civivi was thinking when they put that type of liner lock with sharp barbs on this knfe.
