Robbery at this price point

The action on this thing is just sublime, its also strangely light for the size of it. I really loved the blade shape and sharpness out of the box. Insane to me that it came with g10 handles under 50 dollars. Glad I pulled the trigger on this, my old EDC is going to be sad. Liner locks aren't always my thing, but there's so much good here, would definitely recommend.

Well Thought Out Knife

I use this knife as an EDC. It has great action - haven’t missed a flip yet. Blade comes sharp... all the things you expect in a flipper. This was my first CIVIVI, so I didn’t know what to expect. The handle is surprising sleek and well made. You really don’t feel or see it in your pocket - the best of all my EDCs. Once open, it is comfortable for all four fingers. The blade is a modest thickness, which lends itself to great slicing, and the overall agile feel. I would definitely say that the Praxis has a finesse feel to it. Can’t go wrong with this knife.

Excellent value, Civivi continues to impress

This is my second Civivi folding knife (first was 2002D Asticus), and as the first it is as good as one could hope for in a low budget knife. This will not be my last Civivi folder! Initial inspections reveals no apparent defects whatsoever. The green scales and black blade and hardware look nice. RH/TU carry by default like most (all?) Civivi folders, although LH/TU carry possible with reversible clip. Clip is substantial with deep pocket carry, leaving perhaps 3mm of knife exposed. Praxis fits my large hand well, I rate the grip 10/10 for a folder. The downside of having a relatively large, robust handle is higher weight - 125g/4.4 oz actual (I weigh stuff). The 9Cr18MoV blade is nothing fancy, but Civivi has made it shaving sharp out of the box, with perfect centering in frame, perfect lock-up, and no blade play whatsoever (in either of my Civivi knives). Despite a likely heavier blade than my Asticus, this Praxis is easier to flip open due to a slightly longer, grippier flipper tab and evidence of excessive pivot bearing oil. My Asticus was very dry when new, but even after oiling it doesn't flip open quite as easily as this Praxis. Safe one-handed closing too. I am very pleased with Praxis and my general Civivi knife experience. Thanks to KnifeCenter.com for quick, inexpensive delivery of a cheap order. BTW, I believe my first purchase from KC was 22 years ago in 1999!

Best Pocket Folder Ever.

This is the best pocket knife I have ever owned, and I have owned many. This is a no-nonsense high quality knife that just works. And man does it work. Action is amazing with the ceramic bearing pivot, this big blade comes flying out like it was a skinny 3.5 blade. Falls shut on it's own without any help. G-10 feels great and there is enough length for a full grip for any hand, even if you are a bigfoot. I have carried this every day since I got it. It's light at 4.4 oz. and I do not know it's in my pocket. Blade came very sharp. Some say this is a great 'budget' knife, I say show me a better knife at any price, and I am serious. May be fancier ones, may be rarer ones, but I really do not think a better knife is possible. The most important thing I can say is - Buy This Knife !!

Really nice Knife!

I really enjoyed receiving this knife. The blade is well sized and overall the knife is very comfortable and surprisingly light for as big as it is. The action of the blade is fast and very comfortable to operate. I would recommend this knife.

Good knife but mine looked like a return

I like this knife but I am removing a star because it came with several marks on the blade where it looked like oils or something got on the blade and no one cleaned it off. This is supposed to be a new knife so while I won't return it for that, at least not on a $43 knife I will take a star off, it has a cleaning cloth with it, if you are sending it out as new make sure it looks new. Outside of that issue this knife is a good bargain, it feels good in the hand, it has a really nice action and the scales feel nice, the clip works well, it came pretty sharp, can definitely slice paper easily. I will definitely try more Civivi knives in the future.
