Feels so great in the hand. One of the best feeling knives I own. Well built, great EDC and under 3 inches so legal in most all States, even the not so knife friendly States. This knife is a good add to the collection.
I conservatively own 100+ knives and other edged tools. About a month ago I looked inside my EDC drawer at the stack of folders and asked myself, which ones do I actually carry every day? it came down to 3: 1. The Civivi Elementum; 2. The Civivi Asticus; 3. The Boker Kyoto. I'm giving away about 20 - 25 folders as stocking stuffers! I don't know if Civivi's D2 is a different mix / source than the other Chinese D2 knives I have, but the Civivi's take the sharpest edge!
I don’t even know where to start off about how nice this knife is. It’s so simple and clean, I love it. It’s not a big knife, but it’s solid. I don’t own many flippers, but the ones I do own are no where near as smooth. I also pick up a Wyvern and that’s a close second. It will be great EDC with no fear of scaring coworkers. I’m not sure if you can purchase a nicer knife for $48. They probably will not be this price for long.
This is beautiful knife. Sharp, versatile D2 steel, eye-catching grayish G10 handle scales, and a hollow grind for cutting whatever you need cutting. It's on bearings for smooth flipping action and tight liner lockup. It's a light 2.9 oz. and just a little under 3 inches of blade; I prefer at least 3.5 for my EDC, but this is a spectacular specimen for use as a gentleman's knife. A deep-carry pocket clip keeps it discreet until needed.
Really enjoy this knife. Great light weight, speedy action and compact blade length for more restrictive locale. Bought one for my gf too in purple and she loves it. Lanyard hole is nice addition, only critique is that pocket clip isn't reversible for lefties. More her problem than mine😂🤷♂️ nylon pouch with ad ons a premium touch. I own mostly American made, but I couldn't pass up on this offering!
This is a simply beautiful, well functioning, well made knife. Came razor sharp and the action is superb. I did a quick video review of the brass version on youtube channel Stabby Things if interested in checking it out.
I finally caved and bought this highly reviewed and praised Civivi Elementum. I am underwhelmed by this flipper. Its very light weight and doesn't strongly flip out unlike many other Civivi's I own. The grey colored handle looks darker and dingier in person than in the photo. I bought this to add to my knife collection that now exceeds over 140 fixed and folding knives. If this had been one of my first knives I bought, I probably would have been a bit in love with it but I'm not. I own the Civivi Elementum in the fixed version with the black handle and silver blade, which is much nicer knife. I also own the Civivi Conspirator, the Brazen, and two Baby Banters, which blows this Model T of Civiv's out of the park. I guess this would make for a discrete folder for work or a cheap gentleman's knife, although I'm a woman. All in all, this a forgettable knife with a mediocre flipper (which only flipped out after I had to take apart the knife and clean out all the black gunk in the pivot that was locking out a smooth deployment), and is now comparable to a Ganzo flipper you can buy for half the price of this knife.
This is a perfect fine knife for $45, but it’s been outclassed by several other budget options. The QSP Penguin and most of the Petrified Fish knives all feel like they’re at a higher price point, yet are often cheaper that this version of the elementum. I don’t necessarily dislike this knife, but the bearings it uses feel like washers and it just feels like it’s a budget knife.
