Liking these Civivi.

This is my second Civivi. The first was a Mini-Praxis and have thoroughly enjoyed it. This one I just got and is just as amazing. They are very similar but have distinct differences. Thumbs up.

Great EDC

This knife is amazing out of the box. Very sharp, excellent action and there is no company bill-boarding on the blade which I love. Very impressed with Civivi. Only MINOR gripe would be that they could have slightly scalloped the non-liner lock side to make closing easier but its not enough to lose a star.

My New Favorite EDC

This is my second Elementum, my first being a button lock. I like this one better. It snaps open all the way first try. It's also very sharp right out of the box. I really like the Micarta scales, though they are more a brown color (which I like better) than green. All in all, this is my new favorite.

Great little EDC but this one has weak detents.

My Comments •This is a small/medium size pocket flipper folder knife which is very light and comfortable in the hand due to the small frame size and rounded scale ends. •I like the feel of the slightly textured but smooth micarta scales. •The edges of the blade spine are smoothed with rounded edges that feel comfortable. The spine thumb jimping is comfortable and effective. •Blade must be opened using the jimped finger flipper tab on the blade spine. •This sample has weak detents. A moderately strong finger flip is required to fully open blade to the lock position or it will ‘fail to open’. I need to make the detent slightly stronger to make it snap fully open with standard flipping pressure effort. One point off for weak detent. •Will drop shut with moderate shaking action. This is the stiffest Elementum action (out of three) that I own. It will need to break-in some to develop a properly loose action.
