Nice size, poor handle

I keep this axe in my bedroom for emergency use. I like the classic shape of the head, but the handle is made out of three quarter inch lumber with rounded over edges. The handle is very uncomfortable for any long period of use. Hanwei should look at the Gransfors Bruks line of axes for a superior shaped handle.

Cons Haft is poor quality Needed a wedge to secure head to haft Not heat treated (edge fails easily) More of a saber grind (if i can even call it that) than a convex axe grind Leather stitching fails easily. Pros Antiquing looks cool. Overall this is not a functional axe. Will look good at a renaissance fair though if that's all you need it for. You can spend less and get a way better axe though.
