I am very happy with this knife. It was my first CJRB knife and I am glad to report the quality is excellent and it is super sharp out of the box. Everything lines up well and the blade is perfectly centered. I really like the large and smooth flipper (no jimping on the flipper) as it is easy on your finger if you just want to flick the knife a bunch of times. Flips very smoothly. The flipper is also large enough to easily flip with work gloves on, which is a real plus. The handle is very well textured and almost feels like a course file. No problem at all getting a firm grip. However, the textured handle can do a number on the office khakis, so do no clip these to your favorite dress pants. Finally, the handle looks blue in the photos, but is it much more gray in person.
Read other reviews of how the handles are like a file. When I received my knife and took it out of the box I couldn't believe you could mill G-10 to be like a rasp! This thing would take skin off your hand easily. Were not talking grippy here. Gave the knife a flick and was disappointed with a less than snappy opening. Even after oiling the bearing and working the knife through several open close cycles it would just make it to the locked open position. Out of 10 flips 2 may not make it. The D2 Blade is a great shape and very sharp but the handles and the action are just not what they should be. I would have returned it but I thought if I sanded down the G-10 and worked the action enough that I could live with it. Didn't happen and now its in the old knife drawer. This review does not reflect the great service from Knife Center. These guys are great!
