Pros: Ease of Opening, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None
Good Knife
Action feels great and the blade is sharp out of the box. The fit and finish of the knife look good as well, great looking for the price. The reason I bought this knife was to test out the recoil-lock's fidget factor. It took some time getting used to how to hold it just right with the right amount of pressure to get the flick and release to feel natural and fidgety. Other than a couple days with a sore pointer finger this knife is good.
Cons: Blade Material, Blade Sharpness, Ease of Opening
Great Cleaver profile. Mediocre action
The Carbon fiber handle is flawless. The blade is well-formed, but the action is sluggish, almost lazy. After several hundred openings, it still needs the occasional wrist flick to completely lock open.. The RPM steel is tough to sharpen. Diamond plates are almost useless. The amount of work involved to develop an acceptable edge is extensive. The knife itself is well-made and solid. Just has some growing pains. Would I recommend it? Not for the average user, but if you want an unusual design that has a lot of potential and aren't afraid of some work to get it where it should be, then this is a nice choice. Not very sharp out of the box, but dedicated work will bring up an edge that is serviceable.
