Excellent knife, feels like a much more expensive one.
It's a relatively long and thick blade but is still nimble in the hand, and makes for a really great slicer. It's stonewashed, which should help mitigate any rust issues from the D2. The pocketclip is excellent, it's deep carry and secure, with a window to remove the screws if you want to switch sides, but it's tip-up only. While the blade is hefty it does't feel too weighty in the hand or pocket. I have it in OD green with an orange backspacer, the ridges on the spacer give a nice grip to the pinky part of my palm and there's a decent lanyard hole if you want one. The backspacer also has a nice point if you need to hit something with it I suppose, but that's not my jam. I'd prefer a little more texture in the G10 of the handle, but it's still pretty grippy to the touch. The deep curve of the handle means my medium-sized hands grip the knife extremely securely, and the flipper acts as a good guard, I don't worry about slipping up into the blade while cutting. Overall the handle is excellent and feels like a knife way above the price point. As I mentioned above the blade is a keen slicer, and because the blade is relatively thick (for my liking) the tip isn't super fragile since it has a good amount of steel behind it. It comes d**n sharp out of the box, I accidentally poked myself with the tip a few days after receiving it and bled like a stuck pig! The D2 is holding its edge well, I don't do edge tests with rope or any of that nonsense, but no dulling from apples, fiberboard, tape, etc for a little over a month of use. The flipping is very smooth and responsive, and since the blade is pretty heavy and thick it has a lot of oomph when opening or closing, so keep your fingers clear. No complaints on the lock, it engaged well from the first opening with no missed grabs. My only critique is that I wish it had some light jimping on the spine and the top of the handle, but it doesn't really need it. It really feels like a much more expensive knife and I'd highly suggest it.
