I bought this knife several months ago and EDC carry it quite often. It came from the factory nice and sharp. The knife feels really good in my slightly larger than average hands. This knife is a great bargain at this price and has been performed better than much more expensive blades that I own. It has kept the edge very well.
I bought 2 of these. For under $40, it's a great quality product. Flips open fully with ease. The G10 is practically unscratchable. Whereas the knife looks slate gray in the photo, it's very black. One of mine has a noticeably thicker blade, but they may have sent me two different steels, as there's a newer version. The stonewash finish doesn't stand out much, but it's a good size and very comfortable. Good for any everyday carry
Bought as an EDC Clean lines and execution. Drops shut. Detent is a tad strong, but makes the flipper load up and rocket out! Nice colors! Edge was nice and sharp out of the box.
Hair cutting sharp out of the box. Little stiff on opening and closing but dab of oil and break in a bit works fine. Not comfortable for long use is typical of these types of frames. Nice lines. Dunno know about edge retention yet or sharpening ease of this metal. No wiggle on blade when open. Nice screws for taking apart. Reccomend for sure at this price.
I will start by saying that i really like this knife. The design, blade shape and even the colors are great (i got the gray with orange accents). Blade was razor sharp out of the box, ergonomics is really good. I might have gotten a lemon, but there were some small issues with my knife that almost made me return it. First, the detent was really strong, it was really hard to open the blade. The liner lock was very hard to disengage. To make things worse, the inside corners of the G10 handle are very sharp (right under the flipper tab), which makes it very uncomfortable to flip. i finally realized that the problem was the liner lock pressing too hard, which caused the detent to be stiff and forced me to jam my thumb in the frame strongly to disengage it. I eventually disassembled the knife and bent the liner lock slightly outwards, which solved both issues. The detent is now with the right pressure, the knife flips great and the lock is much easier to disengage. I will sand the G10 sharp corners soon to fix the other issue. It took me five minutes to fix it, but one should not need to disassemble a brand new knife to make it work properly. I am very happy with it now, though.
