An affordable sturdy strong knife when you need one.
This knife is precisely made for any knife regardless of price. I can tell you that whoever puts the final edge grind on the blade is master or a machine. I have two of these knives and both have identical ground edges and points. Some might say D2 steel is not a premium blade steel. I say any tool grade steel that is properly heat treated and tempered to the correct specifications makes a good blade. It depends on who makes the blade; rather than what steel is used to make it. I like the opening and locking system because it is different than others like it. As big as they are they are not overly heavy; the pocket clips are highly polished.I Ilke they have no holes in the blade or unnecessary design features. You can open and close them just like a locking folder or flick them open if you need to. I like mine just fine.
CJRB Cutlery Kicker Flipper Knife 3.52" Stonewashed Reverse Tanto Blade, OD Green G10 Handles
I bought it specifically to try out the new lock style
Overall I do enjoy this knife for its blade geometry and the new lock mechanism. The only downside that I can see and it might just be my particular item is that the blade retention when the knife is closed is light enough where if I pinched the handle scales and have the blade spine facing down in the close position and jerk my hand quickly I can deploy the knife blade. This is definitely not something I’m used to with most modern flipper knives as their retention is much stiffer than this knife. Other than that everything about it is perfect. The lock up is solid and there is zero play in any direction. Once you get used to it The locking mechanism is a lot of fun to actuate. For $40 it’s worth it if you’re curious about this new locking system. If not I would recommend getting one of CJ Arby’s tried and tested frame lock or liner lock flippers.
