Best knife under $200

Better than expected. I was wanting the look of a gent knife but the size of a capable blade. It looked great on line and way better in person. Thin but beautiful blade design, scary sharp out of the box. Wears thin and light in the pocket, and absolutely gorgeous. Fit and finish are flawless. Treated correctly, this knife should easily last a decade or more. In a nut shell they hit a home run with this one.

Bought because I wanted a larger EDC...and fell in love

I wanted a new larger EDC knife (love my primary lil'Native, but sometimes larger is better for certain uses/occasions). I also wanted a button lock as of my couple dozen knives, none are button locks! The price was great and and aesthetically the pop of titanium and milled pocket clip made it worth the very few extra bucks for me. When I got the knife I was really impressed with the comfort of the knife with the very slightly contoured Micarta and neutral handling (both left and right handed). The truly excellent fit and finish and of course the thin and slicey blade. The AR-RPM9 blade steel has also been a pleasant surprise. I have had the knife now over a week and use it every day (boxes, straps, plastic, etc.) and it is just about as sharp as day one...not even worth a strop yet. Action is very smooth and problem free (heard that some cheaper button locks can have some stick, this one has none on my example). For the size the knife is also reasonably light, as the liners are well skeletonized. It is really an amazing deal at this price, aesthetics, form and function are all great IMHO. I cannot emphasize enough the excellent fit and finish for the price point, better than some of my knives that were much more expensive...everything lines up, is centered, seamless fit between the Micarta and bolsters, knife grind...just highly impressed.

Not too big

I have 5 pyrites now. Each one is a little different the gray G10 works great but came a little dull. My green micarta wharncliffe is very sharp but impossible to open using the thumb hole I just use the button. the best one is the regular sized Knife Center exclusive with black micarta. It is a great jump in quality for not much extra money. I bought the large one because it matched the one I already had. It is a big knife , but is comfortable in my medium sized hand Very happy with my purchase

Perfect

This has easily become my favorite edc knife. It has all the qualities of a knife costing much more. Great fit and finish. Very sharp right out of the box.

The Pyrite's Big Brother delivers

OK, so I'm impressed. I love carrying it's "little" brother, the original KCI exclusive Pyrite (J1925MBK) But this is a scaled up version. WELL WORTH $80! Perfect EDC carry, a gentleman's folder through and through. Very well executed - Fit and finish are excellent. Blade super sharp. Right out of the box, mine had a scratch on the micarta, but that's just the beginning of it's character building. Tied a new lanyard on it, and put it right in my pocket. I'm done.

impressive

If your looking for a large button lock knife on a budget, look no further. This punches well above it's weight. Gonna be hard to find something made better at this price point. Blade is razor sharp and the button lock works exceptionally well.

Very Nice Knife

Just got this to add to the collection. I already have a CJRB Lago flipper that I love. I had heard great things about the Pyrite series, so I figured I would give it a shot. I like the titanium and Micarta look. Pivot was a bit tight on it out of the box, loosening the screw just a tad bit helped. I have only had it for a few hours, but so far it seems to be good quality. I will know more as time goes on, but at this price it is going to be hard to find anything else in this price range better. I think there are a ton of other EDC knives out there that are not of this caliber that cost much more. I have been a Benchmade and Hogue fan for years and own more than a few. CJRB is turning into my favorite budge brand at this point.

Yup.

This is exactly what I wanted in an exclusive version of an already near perfect affordable EDC. The KC exclusive upgrades are noticeable where they should be and do not make the price too much more than the original price line. Extremely affordable user with a great milled clip and really well done micarta and the titanium bolsters. Super smooth button lock action with the right thumb studs. Ultra smooth drop. Perfectly centered and ready out of the box. Hopefully people don’t sleep on this KC exclusive like it seems they did on the Bestech S35vn Swordfish. I cannot believe they are still available at the time of this review! KC is doing it right when it comes to their colabs! Keep it up! This raises the bar. Honestly going to be carrying this for a long time. I’m what I’d consider a pretty well informed collector. I have over 40. I read and watch my YouTube guys, (KK and MC). I don’t know it all but I know what I’m holding pleases me a whole lot!
