Very Impressive

How can a knife this good be this affordable? I have the original pyrite in stainless steel with the drop point blade. This might be better for half the price. It is so light and nimble. Love the wharncliffe blade. Handle is comfortable. Great action out of the box. Good factory edge. Solid blade lock up. The pocket clip is a little flimsy, but it has flush mounted screws! You would be hard pressed to find a better bargain. Perfect EDC.

Good Value

I saw a few vendor reviews of this knife on the Internet after which I decided to purchase one. The knife arrived in perfect condition: good fit and finish, solid blade lockup, and reasonably sharp but not razor sharp. It's light-weight, fits well in the pocket, and has smooth action upon opening and closing. The blade is a full flat grind, centered, and very thin at the cutting edge making it good for slicing, opening corrugate boxes, and general EDC tasks. Although being light-weight, the knife has thin steel liners which gives a solid, sturdy feel to the FRN scales. The button locks works well, and the design makes one-hand closing easy keeping my fingers out of the blade path when closing. To be clear, the knife is not designed for heavy-duty tasks, and time will tell how well AR-RPM9 blade steel performs. AR-RPM9 is a spray form of 9Cr18MoV which is a budget knife steel, but it should have slightly better edge retention. Overall, JRB Cutlery Pyrite-Light knife is a very good value for the price.

A lot for a Little

This was a purchase for a buddy. He is not a knife junkie. I took it out to swap the clip to lefty and gave it some oil. I didn't want to test the blade as I want him to be the one to use it. this is a lot of knife for not a lot of money. Quality is there. I do own several pyrites from the kickstarter. this is just a great practical design that just works. PM steel, button lock, reversible clip all under $30...come on now.
