The Best Knife Camillus Makes

I bought this out of curiosity. The Cuda name is legendary so I was familiar with Camillus. This is a small knife but that is perfectly fine. After reading over the materials specs I bought one. Honestly I was expecting junk boy was I wrong! This knife is the nicest little knife I have. The artfully designed spine is incredible. The steel the liners are made of first rate. The bolsters are beautiful as well. The VG10 blade is outstanding. The shape of it is very useful the thumb ramp on the spine really allows you to dig into a cut. This knife is built just as well as a $190 Benchmade. It locks up tight as a drum zero blade play. It takes a hell of a knife to make me say the following but this knife is one of the greatest knife purchases I have ever made.

Eye pleasing,quality knife.

This knife is called the "Prestine".Wal-mart is where i got mine.It comes in a nice little box,with two pads of foam,for cushioning.Camillus is starting to actually name their knives,which is a good thing.Before,most just had numbers.This folder is on the small side,with a cutting edge of around 2.75 in.,and oa length of 6.5in..It comes with shaving sharp VG-10 steel.The blade coating,after 1 year, looks as good as new,and i actually use my knives.I have whittled cedar,cut up boxes,peeled fruits,and cut up meats/veggies,and the "carbonitride coating"has held up very well.It has held up alot better than some of my more"popular"and expensive folders.The handles are stainless,and G-10.There is also finger grooves.This is a beautiful looking knife.The "backbone" is etched stainless,which is uncommon,but looks nice.The linerlock is strong,and solid.It's plenty thick enough.OTB the lockup was around 35-40%,and after 1 year,it has stayed there.I have never had blade play,and i have never had to tightened any screws.It has held up very good.The cons are:Pocket clip,it's too long.I took mine off,and carry the knife in my pocket.Also,the linerlock is almost flush with the handle,so releasing the blade can be tricky at first.Overall,for what i paid ,i am very satisfied with it.I had almost written Camillus off,as a brand because of the Cuda i got before this.The Cuda has some serious issues.But i'm glad i gave Camillus another try.They have some really good VG-10 folders.
