This is a truly beautiful hatchet. Mine has a red teak handle instead of the blonde handle shown. I far and away prefer the teak. The handle fits beautifully. There is a huge amount of hand finishing in both the head and the handle which really adds to the beauty. The decoration on the head really adds to the appearance. When I think of Camillus i think of the KaBar and similar. I spent 40 years in the tool industry and am well aware of Camillus and their reputation for excellence in materials as well as tool design. I had no idea they could produce something this simple that would also be this beautiful. I am ordering two more immediately.. . .
