Good finish, not so good blade
The shaft of the spear is quite good. It is perfectly straight and has a good feel. The paracord isn't bad either. I might rewrap it in leather. However, I am very disappointed in the spear head itself. The description describes it as "razor sharp". It is nowhere near sharp, let alone a razor. It is blunt, pure and simple. I attempted to sharpen it on a whetstone with only subpar results due to the edge geometry. It's more of a wedge shape like an axe. It is still safe to run your finger over it. The tip was also squared and had a significant roll. It took about 20mins of grinding to get the point to a usable tip. There is also a significant warp in the blade. Any thrusts made would probably miss the mark despite the recontoured tip. It might even glance off due to the bend.
