Pretty good sword
I was looking for a good quality blade of this style for hunting, camping and clearing out brush and small trees. This is a tough blade, but it didn't come too sharp out of the box. Actually the blade was kinda dull. I put a cutting edge on it and tested it out on a few pecan logs I had in the backyard. It felt almost like an axe cutting through the the logs. I cut a few branches down with ease, and after those chops, the blade still had a nice edge. There was no chips or dents in the blade. This sword is pretty heavy, but all the weight seems to be front heavy. This is still pretty easy to maneuver in the hand and it feels kick ass to wield it! The kydex scabbard is nice and fits the blade nicely! I was able to attach it to my tactical belt and backpack with ease. The only con about this sword is the guard of the handle. With the blade being kinda front heavy, I would have expected more of a guard than what is designed. Oh well.. it's a bit pricey but it's a good weapon and tool that will hold up. I can't wait to take it out to the ranch and go hunting with it. I would totally buy another one of these. P. S. Tip for the handle, wrap some baseball bat grip or some leather around the handle and you will be golden! Cheers
