Pros: Weight, Overall Quality, Finish, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard

Super Tool, beautiful and functional

Super sharp, great fit and finish (all lines on the blade are prefect), and very comfortable to use. I got this as a Christmas present from someone who knows me well and have just used it a few days, but I was impressed as soon as I got it out of the box. It is well balanced with a comfortable handled. It is not as heavy as it looks and you could use this as a traditional machete despite its short length and weight just because it is that well balanced. As for splitting kindling / batoning it works perfectly for that and I split a good size pile of oak and maple kindling pretty quickly and had lots of fun doing it. Only criticism is the sheath, which is beautifully constructed but is just way too tight on the blade. You have to actually push the sheath against a hard surface to get the blade in and then try not to cut yourself when you pull it out. Despite that, this is still easily a 5 star blade and a great choice if you want all the function of an ax with something that can work as a machete as well.

Dispatched Colonel Kurtz

Was the perfect choice for my mission. I wanted a mission, and for my sins, they gave me one. I used such a perfect blade to terminate my target with extreme prejudice. They will make me a major for this, but I’m not even in their army anymore. “The Horror”.
