Warlock tool is ideal

I recently ordered a Warlock machete for hiking and camping. It is the ideal size and weight for carrying long distances strapped to my backpack. The quality was much better than expected and was very sharp right out of the box. It cuts all types of limbs and branches easily and is very nicely balanced. I added a wrist thong (piece of parachute cord) just to ensure it doesn't fly out of my hand. Excellent product!

"just right" not too heavy/not too long/balanced just right

Use it on my Alberta trap-line to open seasonal trails and cut poles. The handle is strong and the blade is super sharp. Love the leather sheath.

Just Saying

ManUp...a real badass machete made for men! If you complain about the weight then gift it to a man as a birthday gift. Ifin you use it enuff and get into shape you shouldn't really notice the weight. I've been using mine for 2yrs.resembles a Chinese War Sword. Highly Recommend

This tool does what I hoped it would do. It clears the way and is the right weight for my needs.

Good but not great

Ive had it for a little while now and its a good knife, but not a great one. It is better than most anything ive tried in the price range though the Condor Golok out chops it. The handle is superb and the blade profile is great but the sheath is IMO a major downside. The throat of the sheath isnt cut in profile of the knife, its not at all easy to resheath or even draw the way its shaped, it would have been much better to have a draw up sort of sheath rather than a draw thru. I know plenty of people have liked their swivel system but im not honestly sure it'll hold up well but the leather the sheath is made of is great. All in all i think it needed to be a bit more front heavy and the sheath a little better thought out to make this a great knife. It still chops well but it is out chopped by the Golok by a small margin and my Mukti by a large one. I still like the knife but i see how it could have been as well.

Good idea...moderate execution.

Great concept that was not thought out very well. Handle is too narrow and does not help balance the Condor or make it comfortable in the hand. Not very sharp and no wrist cord.

Very satisfyed

Nice thick blade, very well balanced, good edge. A little on the heavy side would be only drawback.

Wicked!!!

I have had mine about a week now and I love this thing . I have used it to baton through wood , chop, slice , and cut really deep into one finger. It's a bit heavy but it is still my new favorite big blade to carry. The handle material is nice but I'm thinking it needs some grooves cut in them kinda like the Rocky Mountain style some brands are using . But all in all great blade.

Good solid blade

Have not used it for any utility yet, that's why I gave it a 4 and not a 5. But after examination and plenty of practice swings it definitely meets my approval. The blade feels and looks strong and it passes the sharpness test. The handle looks to be of quality wood as well and does not splinter. Examination by some blade aficionados I know give it the thumbs up.

Good After Wrapping Handle

Nice craftsmanship, poor handle design for me. Handle on mine was a circle by the blade, becoming more oval near the butt end. Every time I chopped wood handle/blade would spin on me (think of trying to stop a drill by grabbing the bit) ... even if holding the most oval part of the handle Fixed it by adding strips of rubber on the bottom of the handle (about 1/4" - 3/8" thick in total, making a nice oval shape), then wrapped it with grip tape (the stuff for aluminum baseball bats). No more spin, plus it fits my hand much better (I wear XL gloves). Add a (snug) paracord lanyard, and presto! I can split oak logs with a light grip. And the comfort is off the charts. Also the blade's edge chipped/nicked more easily than my other machettes (my others were about half the price of this and made in the USA). But I'll accept that for the ease this modified tool cuts vines, branches and small limbs ... plus splits oak logs. It's now my #1 machette.
