Underwhelming
I bought this because I liked the red micarta and it seemed like a good basic knife to have on me for casual outdoor stuff, camping, construction or yard work, that sort of thing. And it was that, but too much so to be honest. The red that looked nice in photos is more like a muddy brown, one of the handle screws is proud of the handle surface, and the edge is only fair for a hundred-dollar knife. Just generally mediocre fit and finish. I expect it'll sharpen up fine, but if you shop at all carefully you can get a lot more knife than this for the price and often for quite a bit less. It's OK, not bad really, but more in the beater column than a nice budget knife. I'll keep it, certainly, but overall it's just OK. I still like the handle and it's decent steel, nice profile, but I've gotten much better knives for the same money and better even for a third of it, frankly. I don't like giving bad reviews, but I'll remember this the next time a Condor looks interesting.
