Great general purpose knife

This is the latest addition to my Condor collection that is quite large. All of them, with the exception of this one, are 1075 steel. This one is 1095. Now some folks will say both are old fashioned compared to the hi tech steels of today. But that's no reason to pass them up. I like both along with 440C. They have been used a long time for excellent knives that are reasonably priced and very serviceable. This knife is no different. since I specialize in knives that are always useable. The design is utilitarian and very comfortable. It is a multi-tasker that will have some limitations. I wouldn't expect it to split wood. It wasn't designed for that purpose. But it is a great general purpose knife. I'm rathe impressed with the sheath. While it is ambidextrous you will need a strong grip to relocate the hanger to the other side. Once that is done it will be easier to rearrange it in the future. The sheath has good retention; but you may find it a bit difficult extracting the knife at first. Otherwise, the complete package will hang on the belt with little interference to the rib cage. For less than $50 you can't go wrong.
