Some kind of "compromise". Ulu? No. Almost a bolo, mini kurkuri. No. Really nice wood handle and I guess like an Alaskan skinner? More than 6 1/2" but doesn't feel big. Steel is stainless, blade is sharp. Don't exactly like how it feels as if my hand would run up on the blade if I was stabbing something. There's no guard at all on the bottom of the knife and the handle is smooth and not very thick. Sheath is one of Condor's better ones, and that is saying alot. It is VERY nice. Very nice package. Really seems like it misses the mark on multiple levels, but it sure is pretty.
