Cheap blade

Added scales to this. Won't feel bad to lose it or destroy it. Sharpens to razor pretty easily too.

Excellent Kephart knife

The arrived with an excellent finish, clean grind line and shaving sharp. It is a faithful copy of the original Kephart design. I handled it with a set bocotta wood that l get darker with age. I recommend that the taper the handle from a 1/2 inch thick at the hilt up to 3/4 inch thick at the pummel like the original design. I also sheathed it in a deep sheath that goes almost to the top of the handle for secure. I have been building knives for 6 years and found this to be an easy project that I could recommend for someone who wants to start making knives. I am looking forward tp receiving the bushlore blade which is currently on backorder.

condor Kephart vs Taditional Kepthart

I purchased this product because I am making traditional Kephart style knives. When it arrived I lay the two side by side. The Condor is 7/8" wide compared to the traditional Kephart at 1" wide. The Spear point.on the Condor kephart is very pointed, where as the traditional kephart has a rounded pear point. ,he only thing I did not.like on the Condor was the laser engraved "El Salvador" on one side and "Condor" on the other. There is no room.for a makers mark. I can not make a traditional for the price of the Condor blank. I will add this to my inventory as a Stylized Kephart, to offer a less expensive knife to clients.

A basic knife

Just a basic blade nothing fancy. It will cut and so far sharpens and holds a edge nicely. To me the finish is rough and the laser logo was sloppy! The El Salvador was double etched. The whole blade needs wet some serious wet sanding! I had to go through several grits to get a satisfactory final finish... The blade has more of a speer point than the traditional drop. It is thin and narrow so it has more of a feel and look of a green river trade knife than a kephart.
