Built like a tank

Fans of short, compact,THICK fixed blades are gonna love this knife..Think miniature BK2 here..The Siwi comes with a blade thickness of slightly more than 3/16 thick and is crafted of SK5 steel..Love how CRKT gives the SK5 a 54-56 rc making it easier to field sharpen using traditional stones..The star of the show is the outstanding handle, the ergonomics are spectacular..I have Zero complaints..Best knife CRKT has produced in a long time..

Hefty compact knife

Quality knife, beautiful powder coat on the blade, nice hefty handle perfect for big hands. This blade is the thickest I have ever seen on a knife this size, seriously sturdy knife, and heavy too which I like even for EDC, I like the heft of it. The sheath is quality, and comes with a tek-lok type mount so you can carry it vertical, horizontal, possibly at an angle too I havent tried, or slide it in a pocket too no problem. Snaps very tightly into the sheath, you could mount this upside down. I dont have any complatints, the blade is maybe a little overly thick for everyday tasks, but this thing will last a lifetime, could be used for survival or other heavy tasks.

Fits my hand like a glove

This was my first fixed blade and what a knife! Using this knife brings a true feeling of Joy! The handle was my first priority and the G10 scales fit like a glove with a very solid grip. (I have become a fan of G10 scales because of this knife) the blade has excellent thickness and strength, maintains an edge and fairly quick to touch up. Adequate jimping and choiI to prevent your hand from slipping on to the blade and excellent for choking up on the bolster for fine work. The blade length is perfect for tactical use and carry. The glass reinforced nylon sheath has a positive lock. There is an audible click and catch that can be heard as well as felt when drawing or holstering. This knife will not fall out of the sheath and that is comforting to know. I switch up my EDC folders but the Siwi is my tactical crossdraw EDC and I do not leave the house without it. I trust this knife and cannot it enough!

Topline/ blade thickness overall

Recently purchased this and I have to say it is ergonomically spectacular, handle scales literally melt into the hand. That said, it is far too thick of a blade with a baton thick topline - seems a bit silly for such a small bladed knife. Haven't tested yet, so time will tell. Sharpness was typical CRKT (not great), but its SK-5 so that's an easy fix In my experience, the CRKTs out of Taiwan are far better than those out of China in both steels used and quality - from the old Carson M-16s to these new(ish) Forged By War series of blades&axes etc.

Knife is great, Sheath no so great

I would have given this a 5 if the sheath was more versatile. It is bulky which isn't needed with such a stout knife. Very few positions to adjust to, so I had to get another sheath.
