NEW EDC

This is my current EDC blade. It came decently sharp, which I made sharper. The fit, finish and quality were excellent and the design was cool and the weight was perfect. I recommend this knife if you are looking for a good lightweight folder for EDC.

Good deal, good knife

Got this knife because of its looks, liked the artsy handle and blade shape. Was pleasantly surprised at its usefulness and comfort for edc. I found it comfortable, sturdy and stout. Fits well in my hand, fiber inserts aide in grip, plus I think they look cool too.. Blade shape works really well for its size; efficient and strong in the cut yet able to perform good point work. Punches way above its price point. I wouldn't call it a lightweight. Great little knife and amazing at this price, a real bargain! .

Flawed but OK

For the price I figured "what the heck" I'll give it away as a gift to a non knife friend. When it arrived I liked it more than I thought I would. Selfishly, I'm going to keep it and add it to the collection. I really like the look and feel of it but it does have several deficiencies. Other reviews have mentioned the same things. The clip is crap. It bent when forced over a thick pocket seam and won't return to the original shape. Annoying, but I can cope. The other issue is the thumb hole. The inside edge of the cut out has been slightly chamfered. (rounded) A lot of extra pressure is required to keep my thumb from slipping out. I think the edge should have been left sharp and crisp. I will install an aftermarket thumb stud.

Bargain worth getting

Great looking knife, fun blade shape, cool handle design. I’m sure the carbon fiber was raised to give it some texture, but to me it makes it feel cheaper. It is a Burnley design so you know it is functional. It opens confidently and has a good lockup. It is a medium sized folder with thin construction. The blade stock is thick making it tough, but not slicey. Hesitant at first, but it grew on me after carrying for awhile. Also I am a sucker for knives with bird names.

Nice knife, garbage pocket clip

I bought this on sale for $20. For that price, the blade is good, and the action and frame lock work fine. It came sharp out of the box, but I sharpened it further. I like the aesthetics of the design. However, the pocket clip is terrible. It doesn’t have enough spring tension to hold the thing in my pocket, and the knife keeps falling out of my pocket, especially if I sit down. I’m thinking of removing the clip, and maybe trying to find a different clip to put on this baby.

Cool looking but meh

Great design from Burnley as always. I got it for the cover art, really. At $20, who can resist? But it's a pretty shaky knife, feels crappy, blade is too thick for my taste. Good knife for the price though!

Thumb slot is terrible for right handed opening

Some Bozo decided to round the edges of the thumb slot. Your thumb just slides right over the thing. The thumb slot NEEDS the sharp edges so it can really grip onto the pad off your thumb. In combination with your fingers sitting right on top of the lock bar when opening it makes this thing a disaster for right handed opening. When using it left handed your grip isn’t on the lock
