Great knife

Don't listen to the other idiots who gave it 1-2 stars. The knife is perfect for what's it was designed for which was a person poker. This isn't a utility/camp knife, this is fighter knife. That's what James Williams designed it for. The tip is needle like so it can pierce cloth and flesh. The grind is a little thick but it doesn't need to be paper thin since the knife is meant to slash. If you're looking for a functional, well designed fighter, buy it. If you're looking for a all purpose utility knife, it can do most but it's not meant for it.

Absolutely awesome

I got my HZ6 in the mail today. I feel very lucky to have snagged one of these sought after knives. It is well balanced and an intimidating blade. It is perfect for what it is designed for, self defense. The handle is textured very well and once you grip it, it isn't going anywhere. Could you spend all day making a shelter, cutting branchs, batoning, and dinner preperation? Of course not. It is not made for that purpose. The handle is not designed for that work. Use it for it's intended purpose. In the self defense role, it is one of the best I have ever handled.

Great knife for its intended purpose.

Good high carbon steel with a solid temper. Shaving sharp out of the box. Have to keep oil on it. Should last a lifetime of you don’t try and use it as a pry bar.

Fantastic blade

Absolutely fantastic blade. Lovely sharp blade and point. The type of knife you keep strapped to your body armor. Love the weight and thickness. Highly recommended.

Great knife, great sheath, great service, not so-great review

Ordered n it was here in less than 2 weeks, which is REAL fast in this part of upper New England. Knife Center was awesome as usual. I have a CS Recon. Held side by side, the Williams is 1/2in or less shorter, but the difference in hand is huge. I'm a big fan of Cold Steel handles- best in the biz. But the Williams is next level. Isn't "comfortable", but it isn't going ANYWHERE. Great design. But the difference in how lively the blade is makes the CS knife feel like a sharpened crowbar. This isn't a utility knife, but I mostly just look at it. I GOTTA add this- CRKT needs to bring back the Hisshou n that run of knives. I miss-out everytime- missed a Benchmade Bedlam, the Parata by Spydrerco, and several others. Wasn't gonna miss this. Glad I didn't.

My first review of a knife

Arrived 7 days after ordering. Where I live, that's a record! Knife Center phone help was awesome, btw. Always wanted a Williams, & i'm still VERY disappointed that CRKT discontinued the Hisshou(?) and it's two smaller clones. Ugh! That's happened SO many times- I wanted a Benchmade Bedlam. Saved-up, n nope! Discontinued. Same with the Spyderco Parata! I think the universe just likes to mess w/me. This knife is nearly the same as my CS Recon Tanto, but when holding them side by side, the Cold Steel feels like a crowbar with a nice handle. BALANCE! The handle on the Williams, btw, is great for it's purpose. You wouldn't wanna cut all-day w/it, but if you ever need to, you got WAY bigger issues to worry about! This isn't a knife to use- js. It's one to look at, show-off, and if necessary, use in it's intended role. At that, I have no doubt, it would excel! Thanks again, KC!

Excellent James Williams design!

The HZ6 arrived two days after I ordered it. This knife is everything I thought it would be! Perfect Williams dagger design, sharp and made for piercing! Spot on to a Williams semi-custom! Sheath retention is top notch. Overall, extremely happy with this Williams CRKT knife! If you are a fan, buy this!

Sheath retention is a joke

Love the knife but the retention on the sheath is no bueno literally 5 minutes after opening it fell out and broke the tip off I'm not happy. Now I have to decide if I send it back or have a friend of mine try and fix it🤬🤬🤬

Not able to perform as a knife. Unable to cut as good as other knives.

I expected other characteristics of CRKT knives but not like I expected from a $100 knife. The price is high for quality.

Worse knife ever

I forgot to tell you that I love CRKt knives. To me it’s the best knives ever, better than all these over expensive ones but Hz6 is just awful. I’m a professional that works with a knife. I guess if you don’t use it you give it high score because you have no clue what is a good knife. Buy yukanto or any other CRKT but not this one.

Flimsy/ too expensive. Thellast version was really good

I bought a yukanto quarter of the price of h6z, looks exactly like this but was so durable and unbelievably well built. the price of yukanto went up to almost 500 or more. I will buy that one even for twice as expensive since it’s built to last. This h6z built after yukanto and looks exactly the same but somehow it doesn’t even cut the yogurt. The worse quality with too much price. If anyone has another yukanto I buy it for 1000$ and I send my h6z to them also. I was proud to carry yukanto. Maybe the steel is not durable. Also h6z rust easy and change color but my yukanto that I am using for years and maybe use it to cut metal, wood or anything steel sharper than h6z. All my bodies told me not to buy this but I couldn’t believe it since look of that is exactly the same. Friends donot try it.
