Might Have Bought The Damasteel, And May Yet, But CPM-MagnaCut...

If the Damasteel hangs around a while, I might pull the trigger, but it doesn't enchant me like this one, and I didn't want to MISS IT! This one is a True Beauty in its own reght; but I generally value utility over flash and that won me over! This is not just a knife, it's A BLADE! VERY HAPPY with my purchase, and am looking forward to future offerings from this group!

Beautiful, but Unfinished

I want to give this knife a fair review, not getting lost in how good it looks. It is a beautiful knife, but it feels 80% complete. For being a limited edition knife it is not serialized at all, who knows how many they actually made. There is branding on both sides of the blade, but no mention of the Magnacut it’s constructed out of. The blade is sharp, but slightly off center. The action is terrible as it won’t flip more than 50% open, you need a substantial wrist flip to open fully. There is no recess or jimping for the liner lock, so you have to really press your thumb in there to disengage the lock. The sculpted titanium handle is very nice, especially the silver engraved parts around the pivot. Unfortunately there are visible grind lines on the gold accent parts of the handle. It’s like they forgot to polish those accent parts before anodizing them gold. The oversized damasteel pivot is great and looks awesome. Disappointed with Lion Steel, at this price point I expect a fully finished knife.
