I Like This Knife
CKRT has been impressing me a while. I like the lock style. Push button made easy. It handles well, arrived without QC issues and did I say sharp. Again, I am impressed. Why did I buy it? Just because. Will I carry it? Yes, already have. Lastly, would I buy one to give away? Yes. Never give what you wouldn’t own. I like this knife.

The 'TRASK' is another fine example of the CRKT DEADBOLT design. The Trask being smaller than the CLEVER GIRL, SEISMIC and LINCHPIN, makes for a lighter EDC with strength of of the DEADBOLT. I am very pleased with this knife. Although not a flipper the knife opens and closes just as easily. Only problem I have is wanting more CRKT knives with Deadbolt.

I love the grip on this knife ,the look and feel. The blade is sharp and strong. The locking system is strong and easy to engage and disengage. I love the blue accents on the lock button and the back spacer. Overall l think it is a very well made knife.

Great knife with cool lock
As a knife collector, this knife having a very unique lock, is a must have. Craftsmanship, design, quality of materials, and operation are excellent. Very fidgety and I love the adjustable deadbolt lock, which makes it easy to reverse flick the blade open. There is no fault to be found anywhere. This is a knife one wants to keep in the hand instead of stowing in the pocket. Buy it!

I wanted a knife that was similar to my Pilar 3, but larger. I love the curves and the blade shape, and how it's "elegant" looking, not like a "Stabby McStab" knife. It's deep carry and has the metallic blue color popping also, so, it's more of a gentleman's knife than a tactical one. I have no complaints about the service or delivery, as it was processed and received relatively quickly - about a week. The one flaw so far is that it was missing a frame screw, strangely. It's in a spot where it's not affecting use of the knife but it's noticeable. This was clearly a manufacturing error and has nothing to do with this site, and, was easily fixed by contacting CRKT online. The warranty and parts replacement sent out a single screw!

Not a Flagship Knife
This is a solid knife, but falls short in too many areas to be a must buy. Aesthetically, it's a good looking knife. The blue accents are a nice touch, but not so overwhelming that it crosses over into gaudy. The drop point blade has just a hint of a reverse tanto shape at the end to add strength to the tip, which I really like. Combine that with the D2 steel and you've got a blade that should take a beating pretty well. D2 steel isn't considered a premium steel by todays standards, but it's my favorite of the mid-range steels and will last you a lifetime if you take care of it properly. The pattern on the GFN handles is nice and they feel nice and grippy. This is my first experience with the deadbolt locking system and I like the concept. It's a solid, strong lock that keeps your fingers away from the blade unlike the liner locks and frame locks that seem to dominate. Opening the knife isn't as easy as it should be. For one thing the hinge is a little tight, so even with the ball bearings it doesn't slide open as easily as you'd think. The second issue is the bulk of the knife keeps you from getting a firm purchase on cutout in the blade. There's a slight bevel on the scales to aid in accessing the hole, but it's not quite enough to get a strong flip. That same bulk makes this knife a little too big to be an every day carry for me. One last con would be the pocket clip, it's not reversible so lefties are going to feel a little slighted on that.

The knife looked very nice out of the box, however after flicking it open and closed for a while the blade began to drift off center and ended up grinding against the liner and specifically one of the screws holding the GRN handle on. The blade then exhibited horrible side to side blade play when locked out. I took the knife apart and centered the blade 3 separate times and within 5 minutes of flicking open and closed the blade would be grinding on that screw and liner again. Absolutely terrible quality for the listed price, save yourself the money and trouble and look for something better elsewhere. This is the type of quality you’d expect from a 20 dollar knife, CRKT really dropped the ball with this one.
