This has been a box cutter, package opener, and overall office tool for a couple of weeks now. For It's intended purpose, it does the job. Some notes though: There is no lock in closed position. As such, I won't carry it in my pocket since, while relatively unlikely, it could still cheerfully deploy on accident. The tab does take a bit of effort to activate, but the spring assist means business and it flies open as fast as anything else. Blade has a rather pronounced hollow grind, so sharpening takes a bit more attention than a flat grind, but it does get silly sharp. Moves through cardboard boxes with ease. It's a frame lock, so if you prefer liner locks, make note. Since it's an all metal design, and rather stout one at that, I don't mind. It's not a total brick, but it's heavier than it looks. All in all, a solid knife for the price. Just don't forget it's an assist open.
