Mt. Rainier in Afghanistan

Unlike other arid locales, the air contaminant is dust not sand. It's like a medium brown talc and gets EVERYWHERE. The Mt. Rainier is easy to clean with it open architecture, but my favorite feature is the locking mechanism. When the blade is open, it doesn't flex or click or rattle. It is absolutely solid and I hope future wear won't degrade this.

Great every day knife

This is a great knife for every day carry and use. It's a great size....not too big, not too small. From cutting shrink wrap, cardboard and twine to opening mail, this blade does it all and stays sharp. The only thing I would like better is if there were more mounting options for the pocket clip like my Lightfoot M-1. The LAWKS safety loke is a perfect feature on a folding knife!

Good looking knife - nice additional lock

This knife is a good looking knife and has CRKT nice additional liner lock (to hold the liner lock in place as a safety.... creative and nice feature). I have owned this knife for years and it is a pretty good value for the money as most of CRKT seem to be. This knife opens fast and is good for everyday use, especially opening packages, cutting boxes, paper, etc. The blade is quite thin... kind of like a razor, but keeps a nice edge. The negative for me (when it comes to an EDC) was this knife felt heavy and bulky in your pocket. I didn't like carrying it because I always seemed to know it was there. This ended up being a knife I keep on my desk at home to open boxes, etc. This is a good knife to have around and will last, but not my first recommendation for an EDC.

I would stay away from this model crit is good but this is a lemon

I love crit and own many of their blades however this one disappointed me. It is literally the only knife I have ever owned that fell apart in my hand while closing it. I had just finished opening some boxes and got ready to fold it and the thing just collapsed into pieces. I would never buy this model again.
