One thing to know about the knive, you'll need A LOT of practice opening the knive. When I first got it, I had a hard time opening it and it got to the point where I thought I had wasted my money. I used some oil (maybe a lot) and I tried different positions, techniques and ways to flip it open until I got it to open with ease. Everytime I show it to my friends and family, they love the way it looks, so I tell them if they can flip it open, I'll give it to them. The knive still in my pocket. This is my favorite edc knive, great for just about anything

Simple, very elegant design. Useful blade length, very nice build quality. As others noted, when new a little stiff opening, but I don't view that as a problem, especialy as it is already improving with moderate use. Unlike others, I have no problem with the pocket clip. The slim handle and narrow blade tell you this is not an all-purpose or heavy use knife, but then in my mind that is not what a gent's knife is all about anyway. What it is is a slim, handsome, unobtrusive knife you can carry in any social environment and execute any of the chores you are likely to encounter therein. I've always had excellent luck with CRKT products, this one is no exception.

I love this knife. I definitely don't forget I have it on me everyday because anytime I have my right hand free and I'm able, I have it in hand opening and closing because it feels so good. It has a stealth feel. It's sharp and practical. The grip of the handle is nice. It almost becomes part of your hand. You will love this knife. I do!!

I bought it as a small.low profile knife for times when a larger knife might not be welcome. The opening assist did take some getting used to but between working it in and getting used to how best to pressure the stud, it works great. I dont necessarily want it easy for anyone else to open anyway, it is very sharp. Great utility knife!

Even though I have cut my thumb twice now trying to close it one handed, it’s a great knife. My wife liked it so much that now I need to order another. Great design. Don’t even notice it in the pocket, pants or shirt. Nice blade. Can be used for all types of everyday tasks. Blade was sharp upon arrival but might need a little sharpening. Great buy of a quality knife.

If you're looking for a knife like this, get this one
Price, quality, style can't be beat. I wear a lot of suits and formal business attire for work and couldn't ask for a better EDC fidget tool to pair with them. I personally got the thumb stud over the flipper because I wanted a very minimalist design, the opening action is addicting.

A fantastic EDC
I have dozens of blades to pick from but this one ends up in my pocket 99% of the time. Its ultra lightweight, compact, deploys quickly and easily, takes a razor edge with a minimum of fuss and would serve as a backup in a pinch. It basically ticks all the boxes when it comes to an EDC and at its price point its hard to beat.

Nice knife , not bulky .I like the assisted opening , but the thumb stud could be just a little taller . Carries well for EDC sometimes I forget I have in my pocket . use it everyday , opening boxes , mail , and packaging . Great job CRKT .

Great gentleman's pocketknife
Slim, lightweight knife that opens smooth and fast. Nice functional blade on an elegant frame that is easy to carry. The knife is so slim that the pocket clip seems overly large, but that's more a personal preference against pocket clips.

Just got the knife last night have been waiting for months for the CEO to be avalible again . nice knife light weight and slim . have had to adjust tension and oil the pivot wish thumb stud was a wee bit taller , should get easier to use with more use Overall a very nice knife.

This is a very elegant looking knife. The handle also has a nice grippy texture which is good, since it is not very ergonomic. In fact, it looks more like a (very sharp) letter opener when open, and doesn't scream knife when closed and clipped in a shirt or jacket pocket. Like others, I initially had some trouble opening it smoothly, fearing I might cut my thumb on the blade, but after some practice, I can now flip it open without problem. As others noted, the pocket clip has an asymmetric profile with a rather sharp point; would have preferred a simple, rounded off end.

New to EDC knife collecting. My first KC purchase. KC's video showing fluid opening with IKBS requires practice to replicate (for me). Aesthetically, the CRKT CEO knife pleases with the GRN scales in black and a long elegant, pristine sharp blade shape and edge (cut myself twice while learning to disengage the lock and close the blade which sometimes springs forward). The model's narrow proportions influence how I accustom to initiating opening and closing. Unfortunately, those actions (for me with this particular model) are not smooth in my hands. and the blade does not lock in place each time I attempt to sweep the blade open in fell swoop. Without sufficient momentum the locking mechanism balks, rubs against, and requiries an additional effort, which does not seem correct if fabricated properly. So, not sure if the fabrication is faulty. If I flick (wrist snap) it open that cures the parts rubbing together and sometimes resulting in an opening impediment. Engaging the lock release is not always fluid either for me, as it appears in the video and the blade motion can return erratically which is how I was "nicked" by the blade which sprung forward on more than one occasion. So actuating a smooth, brisk extension to fully open to the locked open so far is challenging. And while the CEO's shape and appearance is elegant, the body is narrow and requires learning to focus to orient how to hold the body of the EDC correctly to engage the IKBS via its thumb stud. I wish the experience of the action for me was as elegant as the CEO's design. I'll practice more or return it to KC to determine if there is an issue with the build quality for the particular CEO build sold to me. Or, angle to engage the blade opening, acuity, grip and action, perhaps for me requires a learning curve. I want the CEO in my collection. I stumbled on KC on the internet, but all my experiences have been so positive that l added three (3) additional EDC knives to my collection.

I bought this knife as an EDC. Recycling, kitchen prep, picnics, repairs, general light work. Pros: -Elegant. -Great feel in my big hands. -Useful blade shape. -Useful blade length. -sturdy construction (for it's intended use) Cons: -Opening it one handed is very difficult. There's just not enough handle for my fingers to grip while I engage the thumb stud. It's a design flaw that keeps this knife from being a 5. -The pocket clip has a sharp(ish) corner that can be uncomfortable.

I keep this little gem in my left shirt pocket next to my favorite Cross ball point pen. I am amazed at all the little chores I have found a use for this knife, letter opener, cutting apples, oranges and avocados open instead of using my EDC pocket knife which sometimes ain't that clean. I love the feel of it, very smooth operation and balance. The clip let's it ride low which I love. I'm gonna give then away as birthday presents to fellow knife lovers!

CRKT makes a better version of the same knife - the flipper version
I bought this for ease of carry and its pocket profile. That worked out really really well for me. Unfortunately the single-sided thumb-stud isn't really intuitive or easy to use. Its nearly impossible even with light gloves and obviously isn't ambidextrous. I replaced it with the flipper version and love that one.

not impressed
Nice and sleek knife but two issues that keep me from loving it. The liner lock over travels and gets stuck about 1 in 10 openings and I have to pry the lock to close the blade. Also, there is play/wiggle in the blade when locked open so I'm reluctant to use for more than letter opening or peeling an apple. Looks and feels great but definitely not a hard-use knife.

Probably a 2.75 Saw the knife and it was slim wanted to carry it with my dress pants and it did not disappoint. small sleek and looks like a letter opener when fully extended. Very sharp. Was very stiff when opening the blade, which made it difficult if not impossible to open with one hand. Now my hands are larger, but if you had smaller hands it may be easier to handle. overall it looks nice and it is sharp and nice to carry around the office. I do not see this being one of the knives I carry every day but will break it out on Sundays and special occasions.

Looks Very Cool, but ergos are Not Cool
I really wanted to like this knife. But ultimately it's the triumph of aesthetics over ergonomics. I ignored the warnings that this knife isn't easy to open or close, and now I have a knife I'll never carry because it hurts (my lily-white keyboard hands) to use. If you own this knife and it works for you -- that's awesome! I wish it worked for me. KnifeCenter did a fine job, as usual, delivering this knife to me.
