A Very Dutch Knife

The Ibi is confusing to look at, but when you hold it, it makes sense. With an elegant almost hieroglyphic profile the knife has hidden minimalist ergonomics that make this a great precise tool for in town EDC. I would recommend carrying fully in the pocket if you are lifting. squatting, or working around anything that may snag the quick draw ring. Great for precise cutting paper or cloth, opening and breaking down boxes, or even some light food prep. Pretty much anything you might need a shorter slicey blade to do the Ibi can. Did I mention it feels very natural in the hand, and with the flipper tab and the copper (not a) karambit ring it's great for fidgetry. The Ibi is pretty to look at, great to handle, and I could recommend one to anybody on the fence.

Great handle…I mean knife

The blade shape is great. Kind of an upswept reverse tanto or sheepsfoot. Sharp enough out of the box to slice paper. The blade is on the small side, especially in comparison with the handle. The lockup is solid, the action gets better as you use it. The handle is what makes this knife special. The copper quick draw ring is the show piece, but the G-10 handles are really comfortable with a nice looking grain. The clip is solid, reversible and looks great. The ring can work with the pinky in a forward grip or the index finger in a reverse grip. A unique design from Voxnaes, worth owning.

Low-profile knife with keen D2 blade

I just bought this for myself on a whim Christmas morning, couldn't pass up the sale price on this upgraded blade. Lightweight and thin for everyday carry. Opens best with a flick of the wrist, not so impressed with the little metal assist. Can't wait to sharpen this up and really try it out. PS: Thanks for keeping shipping cost low, much appreciated.

Unique look

Creative design. Narrow handle and overall size make this a EDC for me. I like that the clip can switch to left pocket carry. I like the ring. It looks good and makes it easy to pull out of my pocket. Blade could be a little bigger and the action is not snappy right out of the box.

Neat.

Very clean looking and slim knife. Not the smoothest action but flips open with relative ease. I can get a full grip on the handle without the ring or an aggressive sabre grip with my pinky through it. The ring really makes this knife, not really a karambit ring but has some utility and gives the knife a great unique look. The linerlock is smallish and there is no cutout making it a bit annoying to actuate. Loving the newer CRTK knives that actually use something other than 8cr.

Very interesting little knife

I like CRKT because they put out a lot of interesting designs and collaborations at economical prices so it's easy to try out a lot of different things. For this knife.... Pros: * opening action is very nice and smooth * good ergonomics and handling for small knife this size * materials are nice and have good textures and feel to them * fit and finish are good * lockup is solid so far [+] Con: * [+] The liner lock. It's unobtrusive and fits well in the slim form of this knife, but is heavy to use and the thumb interface feels sharp. I've found this to be a similar problem in other small cheaper knives with short liner locks. For context, all my EDCs are Spydercos, so that's the unfair comparison point. Overall, this is a good little knife with interesting design and materials. Just be aware of the liner lock issues. At the time of this review, I got it on sale for ~$30 so it's a great deal anyway you look at it.
