Great driver! Comes with Wiha bits!

The one I received is great! Smooth bearing, no tarnish, and solid bit fit. I thought I would have to replace all of the torx bits when I got it to Wiha bits (my preference), but it came with Wiha torx bits! Great surprise. The only thing I am not super impressed with is the leather, it seems like decent leather, but it is stiff and kinda plastic feeling as it comes.

A handy package for knife maintenance

I'll echo some of the things that were said in earlier reviews. The bearing on the top is not very smooth in rotation, but then again its not a precision bearing by any means. It serves its purpose and with a little lubrication it can probably be smoothed out if it bothers those that much. There was no issue with tarnish or finish on the brass body, the bits are indeed wiha brand. The sheath retains all the bits quite well, and rolls up into a small package keeping all the tools you would need for assembly/disassembly of most knives. The leather does have a plastic finish to it on the outside, but I think with some time or even a little leather care product it will more than likely soften up. I think this is an excellent tool package for its price point. I've used it to disassemble all the folders I have recently purchased to clean and lubricate and it worked exactly as it should.

Saw good.

I ordered it. Read the only review & regretted it. I got it today & it was way better than expected. I don't have a real scout driver to compare it to but it seems to be good quality for what it cost. Leather isn't bad. All the bits stay in place & a little lube on the bearing & its good to go. Some Karen's just can't be pleased.

Additional note on bearing

For those that are unsatisfied with the feel of the bearing on top there is a simple solution. The inner portion of the bearing that has a part number on it is simply a dust shield, meaning it can be removed and in fact is quite common for these type of bearings. Using a small screwdriver, think eyeglasses micro small, you can carefully pry the shield out of the way exposing the ball bearings inside. Mine had no grease whatsoever on the inside. Use whatever grease you have laying around and pack the inside with the grease. Rotate the bearing assembly as you do so until it is sufficiently filled. Then simply push the shield back into place. Makes a world of difference in feel.

Neat screwdriver

The materials and the "action" are quite nice. The bits are actually hardened so they won't dull after 3 uses. The size is just about perfect to be compact but still usable. And the price is just too good to pass up. If anything, the leather doesn't have the nicest smell (probably because of the brass driver) but that's just about it.

Not impressed

Just got this, couldn't wait to get it. Not so impressed after getting it. Brass was tarnished out of box, I didn't know you can get bearings that bad(crunchy, definitely not smooth) and the holes for the bits are too big in the leather which causes them to fall out constantly. The leather was very hard/stiff, almost like a plastic sheet. Hopefully these issues are addressed
