Great case since I carry the phone in my back pocket and sometimes I am sitting on it. With the flip front it looks a bit like an old star trek device!

sturdy case
i bought this case because it has the flip-up screen cover to prevent breaking the screen. it works as designed and seems sturdy enough to take some abuse. if it gets out of shape, you can just bend it back, but the studs around the outside keep the case (and your phone) from getting crushed. it is metal, not plastic like most phone cases. the advantage to this is that if it breaks you can repair it (and it comes with handy repair parts and tools). the disadvantage is that it is a little on the heavy side. other negatives: it is a little more cumbersome to answer the phone when you have to flip up the cover first, but you have to expect that when you buy a case with a cover. i've noticed that the phone does begin to slip out of the case from time to time, but as long as you don't handle it like a butterfly knife it shouldn't slide out completely.

it needs to have a leash on it or a place to put one on. i made one for my otter box. does not go in pocket well

Get the new fold back one
The only thing I can say is, I know why they came out with a new version. Its nice in my pocket but, when the phone rings the cover stays out flat against your head. You can answer and then fold it back but, you cant do anything else with it. The construction is excellent. Not much on instructions. Id buy the new fold back top version.
