I bought this for the cool factor but this is also a great user. It is definitely designed for a purpose that it definitely fulfills pierces like a light Saber super tight lock up. Coffin handle fits the hand well. Carries easier than my spyderco military 2 even though it's a little heavier. If you want a big folder for self defense back up that can do your everyday edc tasks too this worth the money.

My first Ken Onion

My gift to myself for Christmas. The CRKT Ken Onion Redemption is a well-thought-out knife that balances form and function really nicely. The blade comes hair sharp right out of the box. The stiletto blade shape is distinctive, but not over-th-top tactical. The handle feels great in the hand—comfortable and secure. It does have some weight to it without feeling bulk. It is well-balanced. What I appreciate most is the build quality. It’s clear that a lot of care went into making this knife durable and dependable. Nice job Hogue and CRKT. If you’re looking for a practical knife with a design that’s both functional and a little riverboat gambler, this one’s a solid choice. Definitely worth considering.

Quality, looks, fun

I wasn't sure about getting this one because I generally go for slightly smaller knives with titanium or carbon fiber handles but I couldn't stop looking at this one whenever I was browsing knives because of it's looks. I finally gave in and ordered it and I couldn't be happier with it. The feel of it both locking open and locking closed just screams quality. I can't believe how solid it is and I constantly fidget with it just because of the feel. It doesn't feel big or bulky at all in my pocket either. And it's looks!

Absolute Perfection

I was admittedly a bit nervous to see what the quality of the knife would be. CRKT has a bit of a spotty record when it comes to QC, but it would seem they've gotten over that, because this thing is perfect. The blade is perfectly centered, the grinds are even, the fit and finish is flawless. The edge is the most impressive part of this, though, not only is it sharp and free of burrs or dull spots one normally finds on production knives.....but it has a POLISHED EDGE. The blade is wickedly sharp and point, and the lock is endless fun to fidget with. I'm not sure, exactly, how this knife only costs what it does for the level of quality put into it, but whatever they're doing, it's working very, VERY well. I couldn't be more pleased with this knife, and I highly suggest anybody on the fence buckle down and buy one, because it's absolutely amazing, and I'm unsure how long it will stick around.

Smooth and sharp right from the box, not my EDC choice of the day, but a solid and durable knife without any complaints! pocket dagger

I'm a big dagger fan and had my eye on this one since it first came out. Couldn't justify the pricetag at first but after many moments of looking at it and reading about the backstory and the details, decided to make the leap. Have enjoyed Ken Onion's designs and CRKT's quality; add in the construction by Hogue and I was convinced. Appreciate the four inch blade in MagnaCut, so glad they didn't whimp this down. Seems capable of a good cut and a good poke. Reminds me of the old California goldfield daggers. Love the jimping on the back to aide edge alignment.The hand filling, subdued coffin handle is comfortable and accommodating to various grips. Seems solid and well built. The crossbar lock has operated crisply, quickly, and securely, watch your fingers closing it! Carries well. A really nice knife that I'm glad I gambled on.

CRKT Redemption

Absolute trouble-carry EDC. Quality work throughout. Action is slick to the point of almost feeling sloppy, but all wonderfulness. Top edge isn't covered enough closed to tempt sharpening, (unhappy emoji maybe). Found using the index finger to open/close the action was very acceptable option. My first use of MagnaCut steel-I'll see. Limited by the blade design I can't give 5 stars as an EDC, but there is no way I'm giving this one up.

Legendary knife!

I absolutely love this knife, the price, design, materials, and the manufacturers backing it up. It is a larger knife, but not overly so. It still rides very comfortably in the pocket, and is fairly slim for its size. The blade is beefy and definitely capable of standing up to abuse. The only reason I’m refraining from giving it 5 stars is because out of the handful that I own, the omega springs have broken on two separate knives. They are easily replaced and the knives were back in service, but this is the only axis lock knife I own that I’ve had trouble with the springs. Other than that, 100% recommend this knife. It’s sure to be a classic.
