It Lacks One Thing
I carry a knife as part of my EDC. I bought this one and tried to adapt it as my new daily carry. Here is what I learned. It is fantastic for anything that requires slicing. It looks cool. It's quality all around (actually the gold standard). It's built like a brick sh*thouse. This thing screams quality. The titanium grips and S35VN blade are second to none. The craftsmanship is incredible. The blade is so sharp that it feels more like a razor blade or scalpel. However, this is not a good option for a self defense edged weapon. It's not fast on the draw. It's not an assisted opener, not a flipper and obviously not an auto. It's just a pocket knife. My Hinderer has a flipper built onto the blade and my Gerber is even faster (I picked up the Gerber somewhere between Austin and Houston at a truck stop). This Inkosi is more of a safe queen than a "get it done" knife. I love the weight, looks, feel and I've not seen another knife as sharp. The gimping is okay. The ability to deploy it quickly is my biggest complaint. If you want a tool that costs this much, you should have a really good reason to get it. In my case, I didn't have one.
