it is useful for most cutting chores from paper, small rope to cardboard. in my case,im a firefighter/emt and have used it for other things in my job, though ive not used this knife that much i have several other crkt m-16s and m-21s.m-21s are a more heavy duty knife ive used both for edc ,rescue, and in the woods.for me 3 to 31/2 inch blade is a good working blade.good construction, tight lock up,stays sharpe, and good grip with or with out gloves.

This is a well balanced knife as well as sharp as a razor. I really like the holes in the handle which aid grip and lightness. The flipper is smmooth, even though not as fast as some other knives. However, a little flip of the wrist and the open knife is ready for action. I truly love the way it locks open--no way that this knife might fold up on your hand. Great knife to have around.

The knife is a little difficult to open at first, but a little lubricant does the trick. The pocket clip could be better. Overall great knife that I carry with me all the time.

Pros: Ease of Opening, Handle Material, Overall Quality

Excellent knife!!
This series of knife versions are some of the best values in true workhorse knives. The only issue I have had is light rust if I don't keep it well lubed. Kit carson is an amazing engineer.

bought this after getting the G10 version and being very imperssed with it. The aluminum handled knife is much lighter yet the blade is just as thick. I love the look and feel of both knives and like the G10 version, this will stand up to rough use. this is a beauty! The only drawback is unlike the G10 version, the clip has only one position- so no tip-up carry. very imperssed with the quality. These are much heavier duty pieces then the small M16 series.

This knife is awesome. When it first arrived it was a little hard to deploy but after loosening up the pivot screw a little bit it stared to fly out. Very happy with the knife and with the price you can't go wrong.

I really like the blade shape, handle material, and weight. I also appreciate the size, since it's my EDC knife. The only drawback, and it's fairly small, is that the clip is pretty tight against the knife and the holes in the handle. When I slide it into my pocket, the hem on the top of my pocket gets caught in the holes on the handle. I've since figured out how to slide it in without that problem. Hardly worth mentioning, actually. Overall, great!

I have used this knife for edc for the past 2 weeks. I like this knife a lot. I don't notice it in my pocket. My only problem is I can't bring the edge back to the same sharpness as out of the box.

You can't go wrong with this knife! It's an every day carry and works great. The quality of the knife is fantastic. The only thing you have to get used to is the double lock mech. If you want a knife you can take anywhere and do anything with.....THIS IS IT!
