Laredo Bowie Evaluation
The Laredo Bowie in CPM-3V is probably the best working bowie for someone that’s wise enough to appreciate that the late Bill Bagwell’s conviction that the clip point bowie with a blade length between 10-12” was the ultimate in a concealable fighting knife, that still retains some practical applications for field use. Pierces like a dagger, slices like a razor, and chops like a cleaver, explains why this style of knife is superior to others for its impressive virtues and absence of significant shortcomings. Given proper care this knife will give a lifetime of service and serve one very reliably. The only modification I made were two custom Kydex sheathes from Survival Sheathes and some skateboard tape on the micarta grip to enhance retention when one’s hands are wet. It is outstanding for snap cut drills and practicing Escrima and Arnis techniques with the bowie. It’s an outstanding bowie and slightly better for all around use than its bigger brother, the Natchez bowie.

Laredo Bowie
I bought my Loredo Bowie years ago. Mine has a Wood handle.
This knife can cut branches for firewood, can be used as an baton, though I've never used it for Self Defense I'm positives it would be adequate in that mode too.
