Grrreat!
I have large hands and was pleasantly surprised with handle length. Gimping works well, and it came exceptionally sharp! Perfect affordable gift!

Good quality camp knife. feels good, cuts weel. Faithful reproduction of the original Grohmann knife at a better price. I have given several as gifts as well. The handle could be a little heavier but overall it is a great knife.

Can't say enough about the service at Knife Center. Have dealt with many companies over the internet and KC is one of the best. Recently ordered a few of the CS belt knives for gifts. (I have one of my own) The price was right and the shipping was swift. This knife has served me well for many years. It is comfortable to handle, maintains it's edge very well and is small enough so you don't really know it's there until you need it. Whenever I go on a hike or camping trip, I always make sure to bring this knife along. Really can't think of any downside to this great knife!

cleaned/skinned and butchered a deer with this knife and it retained a razor sharp edge after I was done. The handle never became slick and it cleaned up quickly . I am truly impressed with this knife.

life saver
This knife is great for the money was very sharp right out the box. I carried it for a long time at work it is still sharp one night a deranged customer threaten our staff and tried to come behind the counter and I pulled it from the sheath and he quickly backed down. I am glad I never had to use it but I have no doubt it saved me that night and for that reason it is my favorite of all my knives.
Cold Steel 20CBLZ Canadian Belt Knife Fixed 4" Blade, Black Polypropylene Handle, Secure-Ex Sheath
this knife may look odd, but just wait till you pick it up! anyone who's skinned and dressed a deer will instantly realize it is a near perfect design. the humpback blade keeps the point out of the gut when opening and the angle feels very natural when skinning. The knife came razor sharp like any cold steel product. the handle design is very comfortable in any position. the sheath isn't great but at this price point what does one expect. ill be making a kydex rig for mine anyway. all in all for this price you cant go wrong!
Cold Steel 20CBLZ Canadian Belt Knife Fixed 4" Blade, Black Polypropylene Handle, Secure-Ex Sheath
Use it for backup protection. small and light enough to go in front pockets, up sleeves, in boots, back pockets, on belt tucked into back pocket or just strapped to you belt. Razor sharp! I bought one, I'm going to probably end up buying two more for that price.
Cold Steel 20CBLZ Canadian Belt Knife Fixed 4" Blade, Black Polypropylene Handle, Secure-Ex Sheath
First off it came shaving sharp out of the box, which is always a plus.Ergonomics are great the knife feels at home in your hand, and the offset blade makes cutting effortless.Sheath holds the knife well and edge retention is fairly good for a low end steel.

Nice and Sharp
I ordered this knife just to keep in my hunting bag as a back-up. Turkey season opened Saturday and I bagged a nice Tom. Decided to use this knife and it was great. Had to cut off a leg for the tag and this went right through that tough old skin and cartilage with no problem and not much pressure. It's comfortable in the hand and easy to work with. You won't go wrong picking up this knife.

This is based ...
... on the Russell Belt knife. Google the name and you'll come across some great sites about this knife. The "Russell" was my second camping/hunting knife and I really enjoyed using it (long lost now). A true "Russell" will cost a lot more than this Cold Steel version, and I personally would prefer a real (they are gorgeous) authentic one, but having used Cold Steel products AND for this price you can't go wrong. Just a fabulous design, especially for dressing out game.

Cold Steel 20CBLZ Canadian Belt Knife Fixed 4" Blade, Black Polypropylene Handle, Secure-Ex Sheath
I use this knife all the time at work every day, i cut boxes hack produce up, trust me thick stems and and roots really beat on the blade and i have to constantly sharpen it its nice and big with a great chopping blade i feel great beating the hell out of it cause it was so cheap i love this knife because i can beat the hell out of it my only cons are i have to sharpen it constantly and i cant seem to get a good edge on it with a regular 2 sided stone apart from that amazing buy its got a great blade its solid and sturdy and it just feels great not like a cheap knife like it is 5 stars
Cold Steel 20CBLZ Canadian Belt Knife Fixed 4" Blade, Black Polypropylene Handle, Secure-Ex Sheath
Amazing knife, can't believe it's not 2x the price. I bought this and the Roach Belly and I think this one is much better. The handle is very ergonomic and feels comfortable in my hand. Also the knife is thicker than it looks. I would have no problem using it for self defense even though that's clearly not what it's designed for. Versatile knife. Get it!
Cold Steel 20CBLZ Canadian Belt Knife Fixed 4" Blade, Black Polypropylene Handle, Secure-Ex Sheath
I like a knife to be sharp enough to shave hair. This knife and the CS roach belly knife are both that sharp. I’ve skinned coyote with it and it did fine. The drop point is good for initial cut and won’t accidentally cut into the muscle tissue. If you have a big hold (deer) it helps to carry a field sharpener. Take about a minute break to touch up the blade and it is shaving sharp again. I bought this knife when it had the pouch the sheath. I reordered it and got the new plastic mora knock off sheath. It’s easier to clean but it’s of no value for belt carry so I never carry the plastic sheath. The knife falls out or the whole sheath falls off. I like this better than the roach belly knife because I’m concerned about my hand slipping on the handle and cutting me badly when I’m a couple of miles from my truck.

This is my first Canadian, i originally bought it because i wanted to see if i actually like the Canadian style before spending the extra doe on the more expensive options. Well turns out that this knife is just awesome!, and i do not plan to buy the more expensive versions. though the knife is not full tang (the only down fall) i have batoned it a good bit and it shows no signs of stress, cracking, or bending. this knife works so very well for making traps and tools ect. over all i am extremely impressed with this knife, good job Cold Steel!
Cold Steel 20CBLZ Canadian Belt Knife Fixed 4" Blade, Black Polypropylene Handle, Secure-Ex Sheath
The one I got came with a hard plastic sheath. I first got into this "Canadian" knife thing with Grohmann. Apples and Ferraris there. I might also suggest the Western brand of this knife, that comes with a much more traditional handle and sheath. Form following function, however, this will definitely "git er done".

Great value in a camp/utility blade.
I'm a fan of this series of inexpensive Cold Steel fixed blades using plastic handles and German Krupp 4116 steel. I have the Finn Bear, Roach Belly, and recently picked up this one, based on the Grohmann classic Canadian outdoor knife. The small size will surprise you, even after reading the dimension descriptions, but this knife is a great size to throw in a tackle box, and it's highly polished steel, and Krupp doesn't stain or spot easily. My only problem is sharpening this stuff from a completely dulled edge, otherwise, touch up your edge as you use it, and this knife will take care of you.
Cold Steel 20CBLZ Canadian Belt Knife Fixed 4" Blade, Black Polypropylene Handle, Secure-Ex Sheath
For the money this is a useful, well made lightweight everyday use knife. The finish is good considering mass production and the appropriately low price. THe blade came razor sharp from the pack, and for the uses i put it to it has performed admirably well. These uses include Rabbit skinning and gutting, general camp and kitchen chores. I particularly like the offset blade to handle configuration which enables me to oberve what i am cutting better than most knives. The belly in the cutting edge enables me to do some fine slicing without danger of cutting surrounding tissue or gut. My personal preference is for a slightly bigger circumference in the handle, and as i do not have particularly large hands, this could be a problem for larger handed users. I also like some roughing on the handle for purchase, and this would improve handling. Overall though i would give it an 8/10.

This is the second Cold Steel product I currently own and it is a good buy for the money. I was able to skin, quater, and bone out this year's deer and only had to stop and sharpen the knife once. A good buy for anyone.

Quite a bargain
Bought these (2 of them) on sale. For the price, can't be beat. Good utility knife with a classic design but new materials. Throw it on your belt when camping, hunting, etc. Light and easy to carry. Would like to see how it functions as a skinner.

A great bargain utility knife
Years ago I had an original Russell Canadian Belt Knife which accompanied me on a canoe trip through the Fulton Chain Lakes of Upstate New York. That was in the late 60's and thaf knife was traded to a friend for other fishing equipment ..a common practice back then. I saw this Cold Steel version & decided to check it out. While not as robust as the original, it is still a very useful knife, the blade shape & grip being well suited for pretty much any fish or game, as well as general tasks around the home or campsite. Wasn't quite as sharp as some of the Cold Steel knives I've gotten, but most would find the edge adequate. Being a "sharp freak", I quickly put a really nice edge on it, which it's seemed to hold pretty well cutting cardboard & stuff around the yard. This is a nice little knife for 14 bucks, and makes a nice little "car or boat" knife to keep handy, as well as being a great inexpensive gift for friends who enjoy the great outdoors. Hope to be trying it out on some fish later today and will use it on game in the fall, where I have no doubt it will do just dandy, just like my old original one did!

I dressed out a large Whitetail buck and skinned it with only this knife, it worked beyond expectations. The only thing I would prefer is a flat grind.
Cold Steel 20CBLZ Canadian Belt Knife Fixed 4" Blade, Black Polypropylene Handle, Secure-Ex Sheath
Got this knife for my son as a gift. It is a very nice little knife for the price. I had the Grohmann version which had a little nicer handle, but otherwise very similar.
Cold Steel 20CBLZ Canadian Belt Knife Fixed 4" Blade, Black Polypropylene Handle, Secure-Ex Sheath
I bought this knife out of curiosity. The handle is angled up from the blade instead of being straight back. That means it doesn't have the same feel of most knives, where the blade feels like an extension of your arm. Instead it feels like you are cutting down when you use the blade. It takes some getting use to. The handle feels a little small in my medium/large sized hand. Once again it takes some getting use to. The sheath is adequate as a whole however the belt loop is only two inches and made of flimsy material. The blade was very sharp and touches up easily enough. Based on the cost of the knife it is a good deal

Just got the CS Canadian Belt Knife in the mail. LOVE THE KNIFE! HATE THE NEW PLASTIC SHEATH! Would MUCH rather have the Cordura Sheath! YMMV
