Tom H's review from Nov. 2019 really says it all. This knife is greater than the sum of its parts. I can see why people don't understand this knife, because it is a mishmash of design ideas. It's got the Mora 2000/Kansbol compound Scandi grind with the clip point of a Bowie. There's the double guard from a dagger, and throw in a curved butt from a saber. The sheath is unorthodox, too. It's got these long flaps that are meant to be comfortably worn against your body, but they also hide part of the handle. Nonetheless, THE PACKAGE WORKS. The sheath is light and can be easily concealed. You can insert the knife with the edge facing either way, so you can draw with hammer or reverse grip. The strong clip lets you wear the knife without a belt. It easily clips onto your pant waist, pocket, backpack, you name it. The knife is also light enough that you can wear it and forget it is there. I have no problem drawing the knife with two fingers, and you can trim excess sheath to your liking. The spine is 2.75 mm, which some people consider thin, but there is a lot of steel because it's a Scandi grind. Modest thickness also means this knife will do well at food prep. At 5.5", this blade has reach, and is a surprisingly good chopper. Like all Scandis, the PMII is a pro at carving and making feather sticks. The spine is nice and square for striking fire steel, and the edge is razor sharp. 4116 Krupp, the blade material, is a low-end stainless, but I don't need great edge retention. As long as the knife is easy to sharpen and able to take a wicked edge, I'm happy. I pried with the tip and it held up, which is reassuring even though it's rare when one actually needs to pry with a knife. The handle is hard rubber, molded over the full tang. Even though it is only 0.55" thick, the handle is comfortable. So, the PMII does everything you want from a knife this size. Factor in the price, and this is a no brainer.

Too, bad they quit making the original Peacemaker. Not much resemblance to P II + III. I’d hurry up and buy a Peacemaker II + III. When they discontinue these, and come out with Peacemaker IV, it’ll probably just be a neck knife, or a nail file. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Excellent knife design for a value price. There is nowhere on sheath to push w/thumb when drawing knife from sheath, as is the proper method with a thermoplastic sheath. You either have to jerk it out of the sheath, or slide your thumb inside the front of the sheath while drawing the knife, to pry it out. Either way, it is kinda loud coming out of the sheath. Another option: cut off the top part of thermoplastic sheath, slather sheath in contact cement, wrap in leather, and stitch the trailing edge. Add/include a retention strap/snap on the leather belt loop at top. Easy project if you have some sheath making experience, or, great first time leather project. You end up with a nice traditional looking old-school sheath with a modern safe/secure thermoplastic liner. Or, you can just purchase a nice leather basketweave sheath from KnifeCenter.com: Part #: SH210. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> This is a fine all around, do-all utility knife. Great Light Weight Cutter

This is very good, light weight knife. The scandi grind gives it the edge geometry needed to cut easily and the tip penetrates almost as well as a dagger. This isn't a "heavy duty" survival style knife but would work well for camp use. Of course the self defense implications are numerous. In my mind this is sort of a legal alternative to a double edged dagger. The handle is fairly comfortable for a slender grip. The sheath is OK for a concealable, minimalist style. This knife is very well worth the money.

I got this knife for my military carrier, and it does not disappoint at all. it is a very helpful tool for defense and outdoor activities.

Great Knife for the Money

I was looking for an EDC that was fixed blade and had a good look, and this one matched that criteria pretty well. I don't always find one that is good looking as 25% of knives have to be good looking before I purchase it. Getting down to the knife. Pros: - Blade has great reach (5½" Blade) - Tip is sturdy as I stabbed wood multiple times without it bending or loosing its sharpness - Overall weight is light - Scabbard/Sheath is silent; great for concealed carrying; blade will not shake out, even when shook hard; ambidextrous - Sharp right out of the box - The grip material is super grippy - Belt clip is extremely sturdy Cons: - For the price, a lower quality steel was chosen, which in returns allows easy staining (cut cardboard and paper, and a stains/streaks are remnant on the blade, even after cleaning) - Handle is not what I was expecting (the profile of the handle is too thin therefore I feel, if needed in combat, grip would be bad; I had expected the handle to have more body for a better grip, but this was not true) - Scabbard/Sheath is oddly designed (the design of the scabbard/sheath doesn't allow you to grab the handle completely while drawing, it forces you to grab it with a two fingers and pull before you have a full grip) - No straps to conceal on shin, under pant leg Overall, I felt it was a great bang for the buck as it was $30 USD and much of CS's products are never this low. The only things I wish they could improve upon are the staining issues on the blade when cutting through paper, the design of grip as it's too thin for my hand, and the steel quality. I am a big fan of their AUS-8A steel; although I have yet to try the other steels offered, I have two knives (Zytel Ti-Lite 4" & Large Voyager Tanto Point 4") made of the AUS steel and they are amazingly great.

Great value, except for the sheath

The knife is unquestionably great for the money. Competes aggressively with Moraknivs at the same price point. Good set of reviews here I won't repeat. I don't like secure-ex sheaths, however, and this one is no exception. Bad enough to remove a star. While the steel belt loop looks good and the plastic framing seems durable enough, the sheath relies on two thin plastic flaps to secure the knife in the sheath. If you use the knife as often as I do, those flaps lose their strength pretty quickly and the knife is no longer secure.
