Wanted one of these for a while and I finally pulled the trigger. I’m glad I did it’s a super strong and wicked folder. Pictures don’t do it it justice. Get one!
People say this is a novelty item. In fact it is a well crafted defensive tool. The knife is not “heavy” as others have described it. I think it’s heft ads to its appeal. This knife wasn’t razor sharp when it arrived, but it’s meant a stabbing tool, not a slasher. A couple of passes on a sharpening system will do the job and it’s both a slasher and a stabber. Just get it!
I have a large collection of knives ranging from multi-tool Victorinox, fixed blade dive knives, OTFs (Microtech) to throwing knives and mega-folders and this knife right here is honestly my absolute favorite of them all. I have the black G-10 version and also the 4” versions, but the 6” aluminum handle Ti-lite is the boss. I highly recommend this knife, especially since it has S35VN for a blade. I’ve hit hard objects with its edge and the thing still looks brand new. Also, this knife is pretty balanced and I’ve been able to throw it well since the very first time. Just buy it already, dude!
Best hunting/ fishing knife with wider possibilities. I have M size handl and no problem with holding it. Liner lock is very thinn but really strong. Easy to open, carry, processing fish, meat, preparing food and easy to clean. G10 is ligter with bit better balance but aluminium is respectable weight and feel.
I know the word "weapon" is a provocative, but that's all this huge knife is. Gorgeous materials, perfectly balanced. Incredibly solid feel, wonderfully smooth opening, slightly easier to close than most Cold Steel large folders.
This is one huge heavy knife. It will fit in a pocket just fine, but the weight is very noticeable. However it is one solidly built sharp knife that locks up great. I bought this knife knowing how ridiculous it actually is however I still carry it everyday in my pocket. Check local laws if you plan on walking around with this preposterous weapon on your person. If you want a lighter weight yet still crazy long buy the g10 version or the cheaper zytel handled one. It was sharp out of the box but after a few passes on a strop it’s now scary sharp. Excellent quality but not for everyone!
This knife is great. The 6-inch aluminum version of the Ti-Lite is the way to go. The handle feels secure in your hand. It’s sleek and also has good weight. It just feels really good. You could use it to break a window. The G-10 models would not be good for that. They’re great I have a few, but they’re a little too lightweight. The only thing is is one side of my blade scrapes up against the inside of the handle so there are noticeable wear marks just from opening and closing it other than that it’s an amazing self-protection tool.
First off, why I even considered buying this abomination. It simply reminded me of an Italian switchblade I had in the early 70’s. Stupid reason? You bet! That said, the reason why I rated it a 2 is because the "fit & finish" was atrociously poor. For instance, the first time I deployed the blade I was unable to close it. The liner-lock was jammed in place. I needed to use a screwdriver to release the damn thing. So I dismantled the POS and fixed it. I could go on, but why boor you any further. One other thing, when it comes to self-defense, this so-called "knife" is the last thing you'll want to use. In fact, the only thing this is good for is playing with while watching TV, this is NOT a reliable weapon. In fact, its not a weapon at all. Be safe not sorry, buy "MADE IN THE USA"
I had the same problem others have stated. When deployed the liner lock gets stuck so badly that I have to get a screw driver to knock it lose again. I just ended up returning it. Could I have just taken it apart and sanded down the liner lock? yes? but for 150 bucks I shouldn't have to do that.
