An excellent knife

This has super high quality and a razor sharp blade! The handle is very comfortable as well.I use it for everyday use such as opening packages, boxes, etc. However, the blade clip is way too tight, I had to bend it upwards with pliers so that if would slide into my pocket with more ease.

Solid High Quality Knife

This knife is a perfect everyday carry pocket knife. Perfect weight, not to heavy, not to light. Blade is extremely sharp and you handle feels good in the hand.

Nice!

Very light weight and quality build. No metal liners = very light weight but still very strong. Zero blade play. Tightest lockup I've seen from any folder and I have many. AUS 8 is a good steel for a EDC knife. Checkering of g10 is deep and provides good grip. Had to bend the pocket clip out a bit as it was too tight. Overall excellent.

Great quality blade

I bought this for EDC and it has been a great knife. After a few openings and closings, it deploys very quickly. It's sharp right out of the box and so far has stayed very that way. The course handles make it very easy to grip but are a little rough on your pants. I fixed that with a small piece of tape on the back. The fit and finish of this knife is very good and would be something you would expect on a more expensive product. The Axis locking system is superb, definitely one of the best out there, locks up as tight as a fixed blade. So far very happy with this purchase and will probably buy the micro to go with it. Shipping was quick, sale price was great.

Small And Well Made

This is a small knife, like a small pocket knife with a very high quality blade, nice opening mechanism, and a pocket clip. It has the maximum amount of enginieering that I can imagine going in to a knife of this size - which also drives up the cost. SO if you are not cost-conscious and want a small pocket knife of extremely high quality and sophisticated features, then this is the knife for you. If you want something that will do the same job without all the frills and cost, look at a Kershaw DWO or something like that.

No more than average

I was a fan of the old axis-lock style recon 1s, but the new types are a big step down in quality. Nothing in particular stands out as great. It's the right size for EDC in places with length restrictions, the blade performance is average, as is the locking mechanism. The handle material is too rough; it damaged the material of my pocket through abrasion when using the pocket clip. The clip itself is excessively tight and the lip is too small. I had to remove it and reshape it with some pliers before I could get it clipped to my jeans. When using the knife, I've found the clip ends up sticking into the base of my fingers, making it somewhat uncomfortable to use for long periods. Finally, the black coating on the blade is very fragile and wears off quickly, which seems to be a common complaint with Cold Steel knives these days. All in all, I'd say it's a fairly average contender in the $60 folder category. You could do worse, and you could to better.

The lock is it's best feature.

Pros:Andrew Demko's tri-ad lock.Sharp blade otb.....Cons:G-10 handles are too rough,feel like sand paper..Pocket clip is short,and way too tight.This knife will have to be modified for edc in order to keep from tearing the seam on pants pockets.The tuff-ex blade coating is useless,and i have no idea why they even bother with it..And a con for some,Aus8 steel.IMO,Aus8 is an ok for a folder under $50..Overall,this folder is a decent deal for the price only because of it's locking system..Matter of fact,take away Demko's tri-ad lock,and this folder doesn't compare to the competitions offerings around the same price point in terms of steel,fit and finish,and ergonomics..
