The knife arrived very fast and was well packed to avoid any damage in shipment. The knife was very large and bigger than I imagined , but thats very good. I intend to use it as a edc. The knife had a large glass like handle about 5 1/2" and blade was large drop point and Blk Steel very sharp from box. I recommend this knife to any one wanting to buy a large Blk Steel blade and very intimidating if used in self defense action. It has a interchangeable clip on the knife that can be changed to the left side. Buy it and you will be happy and won't regret the purchase of this good looking knive. seller should be rated 5*****
One scary knife! When I opened the box It look scary , it was scary when I picked it up. It was more than a tool or a knife it was a deadly weapon. I'm lucky I live in a state where we can carry in the open a blade up to 5 1/2". My first knife I carry for first attack is my SOG Spec Elite-2, 4 1/2 blade i believe? I've carried it in a certain way for years and can get to it and have it open in 2 seconds. For now I have to decide where I will carry my new Cold Steel 27TXLC XL Recon 5-1/2" Plain Blade, G10. A jacket or coat pocket would be perfect, but were i live that doesn't happen but maybe 30 days a years. I'm not happy yet about the belt clip, it needs to be a little longer and maybe wider. For now my Cold Steel 27TXLC XL Recon 5-1/2" Plain Blade, will be used by weak hand and carried as a back up until I figure how and where to carry it. Very sharp but not razor sharp. Trust me if you open the knife on someone if they don't have a gun they're going to run.
great knife, one of the best in CSl line, great feel in the hand, great quality, great lock but....why in the hell cost so much?The knife is nothing more than a larger version of a Voyager with G10 ( premium G10) for the handle instead of grivory so why cost the double? However is a very good knife, overall quality is top level ( as standard for CS) very sharp( not razor sharp) that can handle whatever you want it must handle( outdoor activity,EDC, camping,food prep, Self Defence)
I thought it would be too big and awkward to use but its a great user. Thin and slices great.
