Very good lower priced tanto folder
If you want a lockback folder with a tanto blade this is a good choice,not high speed low-drag kind of thing but a very good user pocket knife,the tanto blade is a solid choice if you like a wharncliffe style blade,probably lousy if you want to gut and skin but for open boxes,cutting paper,cardboard or food it works just fine. Probably the most damned sturdy lockback I've seen,it is very rough and you need hand strength to operate the triad lock however the blade has zero play once opened,if you have hand strength issues I'd suggest avoiding this one as you'll never get it closed,strangely getting it open is easy you can literally hold the handle point down and flick it open,impressive for a lockback. The metal liners help make it feel sturdy and not el cheapo like other zytel like material knives with no liner so plus one for it as that keeps cost down and is just as tough as G-10 or micarta. The one thing that might be a tad annoying is the pocket clip,very secure? Oh yes,however between the pattern on the handle and how tight it is you're gonna mangle your pockets,but you'll never lose it! I'd imagine you'll lose your bloody pants first,or whatever side you carry it in will get ripped off before the knife lets go. I don't know anything about the blade steel,first AUS-10 knife I've had but I've had several AUS-8 knives and I find it perfectly serviceable so props for a decent user stainless that's probably easy to keep sharp.
