Pocket imacasa machete

I use it for yard work, cuts 1/2 inch green branches almost like my like my long imacasa Colima machete but it doesn't sing. short, thin, fast and the s-curve blade makes it a serrated pocket Kukri. Cuts leaves and bush right out of the way, even light stuff, brambles grass too if you're snappy. Won't slip out of your hand a bit. The serrations make up for lack of length. Won't stick the leather car seat either because it's flat inside the pocket and won't freak anyone. It's easy opening, better than clip point I got. Prefer it to clip point....usually. Saws green wood to 3/4 in with difficulty when pruning. Just don't let the blade swing even lightly on a finger or it will draw blood. I did it twice. Love that aus8 steel. Thumb post seems set a bit awkward to flip open without fear.

BEAST

This thing is huge. I carry bigger knives than most and don't care a bout weight that much. However this is too big for me to carry around in my pocket every day. It is great for self defense so I keep it in the door console in my car. Razor sharp out the box. Lock up is super solid. No blade play at all. Only complaint the pocket clip is very tight and will shred your jeans unless you bend it back a little.

Large and lovely

This is a carry/ work knife. At the shipyard sometimes a rope, and they may be as much as 2" thick, has to be cut in a hurry. This is super sharp. The riggers were impressed when it saved the day with two strokes for a 2" polypropylene hawser. Way sharp!. I wouldn't mind a belt sheath or a larger pocket clip, one or both.

This knife is great for the money as expected from cold steel. This is truly a large tactical folder possibly too big for EDC. This is great for self defense the serrations will cut deep and the point stabs with ease. I would recomend you dont use this for a utility knife thats not what is was made for. The fit and finish are great and it is razor sharp out the box. There is a cold steel video on youtube showing this knife holding 450 pounds without the lock failing. I would defenitely recomend this knife just know it is truly a large knife

NASTY!!!

This is a nasty COLD STEEL serrated knife that is extremely sharp and functional. This 5.5 inch bladed knife fits surprising well in my front pants pocket and is definitely comfortable to carry as well as handle. It is a typical high quality COLD STEEL folder that I will get a lot of use from. The only drawback was that the pocket clip needed to be loosened---easily done in 5 minutes. I couldn't be more pleased with the product or the price. Thank you KNIFE CENTER!

An excellent piece of hard ware

I have had several of the voyager knifes. I currently use an extra large voyager VG1. I will not own anything else but a cold steel product, due to the durability and quality of the blades. They are very well balanced for a big blade and I have managed not to brake any of them yet. The only downfall I have found is the sharpening stone. Cold steel offers a sharpening stone made for the serrated blade ,but it would be nice if it were longer. The stone is easy to use and most people shy away from these blade for fear of being able to sharpen them, have no fear.

Awesome knife, questionable steel

The only thing wrong is that it goes dull to fast! I guess when you use it to cut down trees that's what happens. Awesome knife otherwise.

Shipyard star

This is my work knife at the shipyard, and it became instantly popular in a situation where a 2" hawser had to be cut in an instant or have tens of thousands of dollars' damage. Your knife whistled through it. Three strokes! I purposely got the full-serrated blade because of the materials seen at my workplace. It has also functioned as a saw on light plywood and heavy pressed cardboard. It is a wonderful knife, although the belt clip should be a little longer and a little less stiff- it is difficult to use. This is my fifth Cold Steel blade. Ya get the picture?

Vaquero review

A big knife but the blade steel is questionable and arrived blemished; a treated cleaning cloth didn't remove it so I'll have to try polishing paste. The lock is positive but is kind of difficult to close and feels sort of misaligned. Otherwise very sharp and the fit is good. Includes an extra clip to reverse the carry side.

Good economy knife

This is typical Cold Steel product. Not bad in any real way but not outstanding overall either. You can tell that every decision in the material of this knife was a conscious one towards delivering a cheaply priced knife. The handle is average and feels light. The blade is nice but as thin as it could be before being considered weak and cheap. Good serrations that grab material and shred through. The knife is big but very light. I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. For me I'd prefer a bit more heft for such a large folder. The lock up when open is excellent. Good secure lock.

Excellent product for people with big hands

Awesome product 1 st You need to have a big paw in controlling this baby, as a small hand causes the thumb to slip off the opening bolt Used this item to cut the rib cage of a blesbok which is similar to your staghorn It just kept on cutting with a little force where the bone was harder. Soft bone and cartlage is no problem for it Being of medium build at 1.78m high and weight of 84 kg, this is a blade that is easy to carry about. I do re-iterate again. You need a good size (big) hand, to comfortably maneuver and handle this tool

Problems with closing knife

Closing the knife is difficult. The button to unlock the blade is very hard to push making it difficult to close, I own many Cold Steel products and this knife ,to me,seems to be of second quality.
