Fantastic Fighter

This knife design is for fighting/personal protection. It is not designed or intended to hack up saplings. The blade length is a force multiplier with practically effortless piercing abilities but with a very thick steel blade. The subhilt/finger notch and slight curve on the end of the handle allows for increased maneuverability and weapon retention. I prefer the San Mai version so I bought the carbon steel version to serve as a trainer after I dulled the blade. Regardless of steel version this is a very good knife for personal protection and both versions respond very well to sharpening and honing.

This was my first coldsteel fixed blade now I have about 45 bad to the bone razor sharp still one of my favorites buy one if your thinking about it u won't go wrong

ONE DEADLY KNIFE

THIS KNIFE IS DESIGNED FOR FIGHTING ..........OR HUNTING ANIMALS BY HAND:-) THERE IS NO BETTER MADE, INEXPENSIVE SUB HILT........ THE SHEATH SUCKS BUT WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FOR LESS THAN $60???? THEY SPENT THE MONEY ON THE KNIFE WHICH AFTER ALL IS WHAT IS IMPORTANT. IF THIS STYLE OR TYPE OF KNIFE IS WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR AND YOU WANT A KNIFE THAT COMBINES FUNCTIONALITY WITH A LOW PRICE TAG....THEN THIS IS THE KNIFE!!!!

Well balanced

I know everyone out there has their own feel for a knife, this one is perfect in my hands. Blade is long and sharp, I touched it up and now I can shave with it. Handle fits perfect in my hands., Once you lock your grip, this knife will never slide even hitting solid bone with all you power, the sheath is a bit tight but I touched up the locking nubs a bit and now it's smooth on the draw and no rattling ( noise) while walking, etc, etc. I wish I had this knife in Combat back in 1983 beside my K-bar it's a muck better knife that won't fail you. I also purchased the Double edge version too, I have the same identical words for this knife also, it's TWICE as tough.

GOOD KNIFE BAD SHEATH

WELL, THIS KNIFE PERFORMED WELL FOR CUTTING BOTTLES AND BATONING WOOD BUT I CANT HARDLY TAKE IT OUT OF THE SHEATH SO IN ALL I GVE THIS KNIFE A 4 BECAUSE THE SHEATH SUCKED.

Great for the Price

Good steel, comes shaving sharp, awesome sheathe. The top guard is not metal however, which is a drawback for a "fighter" and is rather unnecessary across the back of the blade.
