Best off the shelf knife I own
I throw knives, axes and spears in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism). It is great fun and the competition is excellent. Most of my best knives are made by Cold Steel, and this is no exception. Right out of the package, I found it to be very sharp and wonderfully balanced. It throws true and sticks deep (with a great thud on impact). It would be very interesting which would be better if there were a version with scales. Luckily, this knife doesn't need them.

jack dagger thrower
I beat these up pretty good and they sometimes hit the pavement and they never break! They come pretty sharp so I dulled them for the 1/2 throws. My brother uses mechanic gloves and can throw them right out of the package. I glued some leather to the handles for the cold weather. Can't wait for the tourneys
