Awesome Katana

Ok it took me a while to save up for one of these bad boys. This sword kicks butt. 1055 is a perfect balance for a non damascus steel and it is slightly weighty, but overall the razor sharp sword does the job. This is one of the few products that I give a 5 to. Seriously there are some issues but just about all can be conquered. 1) taking apart the handle requires a home made took to remove it. It is on there seriously tight and one would need a sand hammer and a wood frame to knock it off. Seriously a lot of work whereas other swords you can just remove it by removing the pins. Yes, this would prevent any slop in the handle, but then again a well made blade won't have that. 2) The sword comes completely unpolished, which actually is fine by me, but leaving it that way, the sword oxidizes way to fast. But the good part is you can polish the blade and give it a mirror finish that would marvel the more expensive Cold Steel swords. Once polished, you will find the blade is much more resistant to oxidation and requires less to almost no oil on the blade in comparison. The blade overall came sharp, but yes, a little sharpening on a good ole Arkansas whet stone will resolve that issue. Overall a kickass sword and would recommend it to anyone.

Working Sword

Love the fact that it comes with a cloth bag. At first I said 'Where's the edge?' then I found it with my finger. . . ouch. Pricing is appropriate for the fact that it lacks the mirror polish, but I will be getting the Emperor sword to alleviate that. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a katana to swing around without having to worry too much about its welfare. It sticks a little though, when fully sheathed. Samurai make it look too easy to pull out and butcher people with.

This katana is very sharp and durable. Has great quality to it and I have used it many times to cut through many objects with perfect slices everytime. Also makes a great display with complete set.

Outstanding

Pros: Sharp, excellent weight, balance and quality. Knife Center came through with quick shipping. It was one of the only presents I purchased on-line that came on time for Christmas. While I'm still waiting for some presents to arrive that were bought before this order, Knife Center came through in a week, and that was to a APO. Cons: have not found any yet. The handle had blemishes but nothing worth noting here

My First Katana_Excellent!👍🏼

My first katana. I think my main concern was getting a less than really sharp edge, but quality control on this katana was overall excellent, it has a Very Sharp edge & the edging was done very skillfully the entire edge, every inch of it_all fittings & handle wrapping very tight_mine overall>looking good_As always Knife Center's service was top of the line👍🏼 I'm completely satisfied with this Cold Steel katana, I hope this good quality control is consistent with the forge in China that crafts Warrior Series, I have the wakizashi too, it needed a bit more sharpening but is also par excellent overall. That says it for mine, it doesn't say it for anybody else's, the quality control may not be this good on some shipped out as 1st quality but I hope it is. Oh yeah, the feel of this extra heavy duty sword is just about like having an axe in your hands until you adjust & adapt to wielding it as a sword Lol_I have. I can wield it quickly in every direction, it took some getting use to & bulding up hands & wrists to it a bit more, & callousing & toughening skin on palms more, but foearms, shoulder action, etc., had it mastered from the start.

Simply Nice

This was given to me as a present a few years ago. It’s not flashy or expensive looking, however it is exactly what I was hoping for in a Katana; sharp, solid blade with an ability to take a pounding if needed. You have to keep it well-oiled and the sheath sticks a bit when extracting the blade. Bottom line is its’ well worth the price and everything you would want in a personal defence blade.

Exceptional weapon

if you want a sword you can use, and you cant spend 1000 bucks, this is for you. Even if you're only interested in a wall hanger, this sword is as beautiful as it is functional, ive hacked at trees, plywood, even 2x4's with no noticeable marks to the blade, and with a few strokes from a whetstone you have the biggest razor blade youve ever seen. so from a piece of art to a zombie decapitator this sword has it all!

Warrior review

I always carry a large bladed knife while hunting or scouting to get through the briars in one piece. most are not long enough for me to be happy with. This appeared to be a great end to the problem. I fell in love this sword immediately. It is built to do any job. The balance is great, the blade is beautiful and as sharp as seen on cold steel videos. I has the strongest built blade that i have seen. the workmanship is without equal. Worth having just for the pride of ownership if nothing else. I foun nothing about it that I did not like.

A Solid Buy

The Cold Steel Warrior Katana is a great piece of equipment, well priced and well put together. Weighing in at 1200g it is no feather weight but that solid feel gives a confidence that it will not fail you when put to the challenge. I have seen and trained with a number of Katanas, some prettier, most pricier but none better.

Needs additional sharpening

Measures up to most claims in the ad, except for the blade sharpness, at least in the one I recieved. Blade edge was still rough and gritty. Thanks to the 10 degree blade angle, however, half an hour of honing on an arkansas stone was enough to bring it to razor sharpness. Sword is heavy. To the user it would feel nearly twice the weight of a comparable length katana. Need to build up thicker muscles to be able to efectively use it. Knifecenter service, on the other hand, was impeccable as always. Delivery was prompt and reliable. Thanks.
